In this world, happiness is something we all desire.

What is happiness?

Happiness is waking up to the smell of coffee

or remembering that you’re alive to see another day


It’s watching baby animals yawn

or cuddling with them when you don’t feel so great


Happiness is hearing you mom laugh for the first time in years

and and being able to vent to your dad


It’s taking the time out of a stressful day to watch the sun set

and waking up early enough to watch it rise


Happiness is finding someone that makes you forget your problems

even if it’s just for an hour


Happiness is finally learning to love yourself

and eating that burrito because you can


It’s discovering the loyalty of your friends when life gets complicated

knowing that God placed these people in your life because He knows you needed them


Happiness is finding God in the world around you

praising Him for loving you unconditionally



You see, happiness isn't something unachievable.

Happiness is finding the good in the world around you, despite all the bad.
