Love Is The Great Uncertainty, But It's A Risk I'm Wiling To Take

People fall in love all the time and they constantly tell you that you just know but how do you really know? You've been hurt before everyone has maybe that's why the walls are up. Maybe that's why you don't settle with anyone, why you're talking to more than one person. It's cause you don't want that pain.

Eventually, you meet someone really meet someone and they're amazing. You keep talking to them because God, they are just great and you love how great they are. That word comes up... "Love."

That word that just scares you and makes you wanna curl up in a corner and push them back. So you do what you know best you push you to say things thinking maybe if they see other parts of me they won't keep pushing for more.

The thing is though eventually, you'll meet someone who keeps pushing someone who doesn't get scared and run away.

That makes things difficult because you just don't know what to do. Do you end things with them? No why would you because they're staying. They are different from the others and that makes you want to keep them. So you start seeing each other more and more and finally, you become exclusive and wonder how did I do this.

After some time you start seeing them in a new light and start to think of that word again. Love... do I love them? You both eventually say it to each other but after some time you start to wonder is it true? Do I love them? How do you really know how are you sure?

That's the thing though you can't be sure because the thing about love is it just happens. You're gonna be unsure because love takes the time it doesn't happen right away but it does happen over time. You both said it and yeah, you both might mean it. You mean it to a degree though.

Love takes time to grow.

You don't have love-at-first-sight, you have a desire everyone has desires but with time the love will come. It will grow into something beautiful that you see with your parents or in the movies. There will always be that uncertainty but sometimes you just don't need to know where things will go you just have to go with it and be there for the ride.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
