It's been over 20 years since both the Rams and Raiders left the city of Los Angeles for St. Louis and Oakland respectively, leaving the second largest city in the country without an NFL football team, and a gaping hole in the sports market for Angelenos such as myself. Ever since then, fans have been yearning for their beloved football teams to come back.

While others have had to feel the pain of potential relocation.

However, in the following years, teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, and even Minnesota Vikings were all rumored to have packed their bags for Southern California because of their lack of funding for stadiums. However, all three of those teams had their concerns met, leaving three potential buyers for the LA sweepstakes--a move that seems to be coming full circle. After years of battles over inefficient stadiums and city funding, the St. Louis Rams and Oakland Raiders have become key teams for potentially moving back to the city of Angels. The final team, So Cal's own San Diego Chargers, have also reared their heads into the Los Angeles conversation. Of the three teams in the mix, only two new stadiums have been proposed -- with one being in the suburb of Carson.

Potential meetings are slated to take place between NFL officials and owners before anything is decided, but with the 2015 season coming to a close within the next few weeks, there may be an NFL team in LA by the time this article is published. It is highly unlikely that all three teams would come to the city, as that would not only potentially over-saturate the market, but also provide logistical concerns for the Chargers and Raiders playing in the same division--if they were both to play in the same city, they would have an unfair advantage, by playing essentially an extra home game every year. Regardless, it seems more likely every day since the relocation announcement that at least one team will officially be granted a move. So what does this mean for Angelenos?
For one, traffic! Expect a lot more traffic on Sundays. Particularly at the 405 and 105 intersections if a team moves to Inglewood

Finally, be weary of gentrification.

Nevertheless, these are exciting times to be an LA sports fan, and whatever team that decides to call LA home will be received with loving, caring, and open arms.....

.....until they start losing of course.
