It was hard to pick just six.

Westeros is full of bad guys but some of them are way worse than others. Below is a list of the six most despicable characters in the Game of Thrones television show.

Gregor Clegane (The Mountain)

“Elia Martell! I killed her children! Then I raped her! Then I smashed her head in like this!” – Gregor Clegane to Oberyn Martell just before crushing his skull.

Cersei's singularly mean dude, The Mountain, is freakishly huge and strong, as seen when we witnessed him behead his own horse in season one after losing in a joust to Loras Tyrell. When Gregor was just a boy he held his younger brother Sandor’s face to an open flame for borrowing one of his toys without asking, disfiguring him for life. We also learn that apparently he raped, murdered and killed the children of Elia Martell, sister to Prince Oberyn of Dorne. Oberyn duels with The Mountain and almost has him beat until Gregor manages to get the upper hand and pops his head like a balloon. Though he won the fight, The Mountain was seriously wounded, as Dornish fighters poison the blades of their weapons before battle. Currently Qyburn is keeping him alive (sort of) and may have turned him into George R.R. Martin’s version of Frankenstein’s monster.

Walder Frey

“Your Grace, I fear I’ve been remiss in my duties. I’ve given you meat and wine and music, but haven’t shown you the hospitality you deserve. My king has married and I owe my queen a wedding gift.” – Walder Frey to Robb Stark while giving the cue to have Robb’s army slaughtered.

One of the co-conspirators of The Red Wedding, there isn’t a thing to like about Lord Walder of House Frey. When we first meet him it’s his 90th birthday and he has given himself a present, a 15-year-old bride! After Ned Stark is killed, Robb agrees to marry one of Walder’s daughters in exchange for his loyalty in the War of the Five Kings. However, Robb breaks this oath by taking another wife, thus royally pissing off Lord Walder. He pretends like he’s cool with it, though, and says he’ll form a new alliance with Robb in exchange for Harrenhal plus another daughter married off to Robb’s uncle, Edmure Tully. Well, we all know how that ends. Walder welcomes Robb and his men into his castle for the wedding and proceeds to slaughter nearly everyone, including Robb’s mother. In the Seven Kingdoms, breaking bread with someone in your home and then murdering them is a cardinal sin. We all can’t wait to see how the gods decide to smite Lord Walder.

Alliser Thorne

“Now there’s a rare sight. Not only a bastard but a traitor’s bastard.” – Ser Alliser to Jon Snow upon hearing of Ned Stark’s arrest for alleged treason.

The Master at Arms for the Night’s Watch, Ser Alliser is the biggest a-hole in all of Castle Black; and that’s saying something for an army full of rapist and murderers, most of who have been forced to live together in terrible conditions. Thorne is in charge of training new recruits at Castle Black, though he takes special pleasure in bullying the weaker ones—maybe the best example being his cruel treatment of Samwell Tarly, nicknaming him, “Lord Piggy” and encouraging the other new recruits to physically abuse him. Besides being an all-around jerk, he is complicit in the murder of our beloved Jon Snow, being the first of the Night’s Watch to plunge his knife into him. Here’s to hoping a zombie “Lord” Snow exacts his revenge in the worst way on the despicable Ser Alliser.

Joffrey Baratheon

“We’ve had vicious kings and we’ve had idiot kings, but I don’t know if we’ve ever been cursed with a vicious idiot for a king.” –Tyrion Lannister on King Joffrey.

Ah, the Boy King. What an evil little bastard. He tortures Sansa Stark throughout his entire reign as king: basically getting her pet killed; ordering her father to be beheaded right in front of her; commanding Ser Meryn to physically abuse her; berating her at every turn; and, when he finally breaks up with her, he forces her to marry his uncle Tyrion, the half man who is considered a freak among the nobles of realm. Besides his poor treatment Sansa, he was also just a generally terrible king who cared more about his own interests and humiliating his uncle than he did for the people of Westeros. Fortunately, he met his end at his own wedding when Olenna Tyrell slips a poison called, “the strangler” into his wine. There has never been a death as satisfying to watch throughout the entirety of the show. Valar morghulis, douche bag!

Cersei Lannister

“In the game of thrones, you win or you die.” – Cersei to Ned Stark.

She loves her children, but beyond that, the Queen Regent doesn’t have a single redeeming quality and is, without a doubt, the coldest woman in all of Westeros. For starters, she has an ongoing sexual relationship with her twin brother and has fathered three children with him. She also kinda sorta murdered her husband, King Robert, by making sure he got extra drunk during a hunt at which he was gored by a boar and later died. Cersei has also slept with her cousin, Lancel and despises her younger brother Tyrion, a fan favorite who she has tried to kill on more than one occasion. Oh, and she’s just flat out nasty to nearly everyone she comes in contact with. It was poetic justice watching her take the nude walk of shame through King’s Landing last season and though she is the one currently awaiting trial, you can’t help but get the feeling that The Sparrows are going to regret having humiliated Cersei.

Ramsay Bolton (Ramsay Snow)

“This isn’t happening to you for a reason. Well, one reason. I enjoy it.” – Ramsay to Theon while torturing him.

OK, for starters, The Bolton house sigil is the flayed man and Ramsay is considered brutal even by their standards. He is the most depraved character on the show, and it’s not even close. When we first meet the Bastard of Bolton he appears to be helping Theon Greyjoy escape his sadistic captor who has been tormenting him. However, we come to find out that Ramsay is the sadistic captor and that Theon’s nightmare has only begun. Eventually, he cuts off Greyjoy’s “favorite toy” thus, breaking his spirit so he can start his new life as Reek, a pathetic shell of his former self who only lives to serve Ramsay. Currently he is married to poor Sansa Stark, who he raped on their wedding night. He and his girlfriend also hunted a woman and had her torn apart by dogs simply because his girlfriend was jealous of her. Let’s just hope that when Ramsay meets his end, it is as brutal and gut wrenching as some of the atrocities he’s committed towards other people who were unfortunate enough to cross his path.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
