Although summer is over, it is finally time for another exciting year at the U of A! Summer is fun and all, but lets face it, nothing can compare to our permanent vacation at the place we call "school" (but it's more like a constant party with some learning involved). I've been away for three months, and I have never appreciated going back more!
Here are some things I can't wait to get back to:
1. The Sun
Considering that this is the palest I have ever been. Wildcats attire is shorts, shorts, and more shorts. Having every day be sunny and not even having to question what to wear each day is a gift that I missed so much!
2. My Sistaaaaas!
There is nothing better than having 200 girls be your best friends. Over the summer, I was seriously missing having someone to gossip/eat/drink/tan with 24/7!
3. The Bars
Basically our home away from home. A typical night at the bar includes a crazy pre-game, seeing people you haven't seen since freshman year, getting a fishbowl pic, and then drunk eating at Jimmy's afterwards. Can it get better?
4. University Blvd
Oh, the good ol' University, such a love-hate relationship. Mainly love though. This is the place where you see the best stuff on campus. First there's Frogs, then Chipotle, then shopping and bars. University empties my wallet fast, but it is so worth it.
5. Sorority Chefs
We are lucky enough to get to eat a good home-cooked meal every night! The best part of my weeks is finding out what is on the menu for that day and arranging with my friends when we are going to lunch and dinner at the house.
6. Recruitment
Yes, it is tiring, and you lose your voice, and your feet end up with eight blisters a day, but this is nothing compared to look on these girls' faces when you welcome in over 1500 hopeful freshman hoping to find their new house. It is so exciting to watch and be a part of this process.
7. The Campus
Even after attending this school for three years, the campus never fails to amaze me with its beauty! We should feel so lucky to have the chance to go to a school like U of A.
8. Tailgating
Only the best part of the year, duh! Watching the game or not, dressing up in our Wildcats attire and supporting our school on game day is one of the memories I will never forget! I can already hear the band, "Bear Dowwwwwn Arizona, Bear Dowwwwwn Red and Blue..."
9. Day-gers
It's pool party season and we are ready to Dayge! The best way to spend a Saturday is with your beer in hand and new swimsuit on, ready to go! Retreat get ready for a wild pool party season.
10. The U of A
AKA THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY! THREE MONTHS GONE WAS WAY TOOOOO LONG! Welcome back! Lets have a great year!
