This week I'm going to take a break from my normal, more comedic listicles, and talk more seriously about life today. The recent events have put my life in perspective, life is so quick and can be changed in just an instant. We need to understand this, you can not take any single thing in your life for granted. We are on borrowed time as we've seen so much as of late. The power of one is still strong but there are enough people on this earth to stand up and make a change.
I can't help but feel complete and utter sadness for the family's and loved ones of victims slain for no reason. I am absolutely peeved that we had to say goodbye to more people. We have lost so many women, men, and children to hate, and misguided anger. With all this people still don't seem to get it. These events aren't about guns, blaming it on guns is just absolutely ludicrous. Yes I do think we need stricter gun restrictions, but right now that is not the point. We need to stop removing the humanity from the incidents, we need to take time to grief and mourn the ones we lost. We need to hold the ones we love even closer than before. Politicians are using an these types of events to push their own political agendas. Donald Trump has made strides to use Orlando to gain footholds on his campaign, and so has Hillary Clinton. The fact that politicians use senseless murder to advance their careers is absolutely deplorable. How many lives need to be lost before we stand tall against hate crimes. Hate crimes have nothing to do with guns, you don't need a gun to take a life. I believe that it just takes enough people to say enough is enough to stop all the pain in society today. Take these events in, grief, cry, be angry, you are entitled to that emotion. Once you dry the tears and let the anger subside, now you can take action against the people who have caused so much pain. You are not worthless, you are not powerless, you have a say in what is happening to the country. I beg of you to take immediate action, take a pledge to save lives, not kill amendments.
I don't believe society shares no blame for what is happening, society does not always show the greatest kindness to fellow man. There is so much hate that exists in the world and there is no reason to add to the hate. If we were more kind and showed everyone the utmost kindness we could greatly increase the morale of the world. The war on hate and terrorism is a war that can be won, there will be more pain and death, as it is the way life works. With strong will and optimism we can return the United States to the foundation of its creation. We are all people with morals, and no one is without pain after these incidents, so lets actually make a change instead of watching more death and more pain. Remember to live your life to the fullest, as death always lurks around the corner. Remember to love one another, we are together much stronger than any hateful individual Stand with me against the hate.
