As many of you may have noticed, it's beginning to look and feel more like fall - I apologize in advance to my friends and family who are living in places where it's harder to appreciate the second point of this article. Nonetheless, here are five ways to show that fall has arrived.
1. As a Starbucks barista, I have to note that the pumpkin spice latte has made its comeback. Not only is the drink available, but you can now get a ceramic tumbler stating you’re a part of “team PSL!” right along with it. I personally think it has some kind of TV show name ring to it. (PLL, ring a bell?)
2. The leaves are changing color (well, they will be soon). It’s getting colder and whether that’s just in the mornings and nights, I will wear my jacket with pride all day long even if I might be sweating just a bit.
3. Halloween is around the corner and although I've never been one to celebrate it, by that I'm talking about costumes, trick-or-treating, the whole ordeal, it means free candy and cheesy Halloween movie marathons. Count me in.
4. There are pumpkins store-front waiting to be carved. I’ve never been the greatest at carving pumpkins, but how can you pass up a good carving get together fit with "spooky" dry ice drinks, candy corn and some throwback TV featuring Sabrina: The Teenage Witch?
5. Last, but certainly not least, they finally put the summer candles on sale and the autumn-scented ones out for grabs. Don’t get me started on the difference between “Pumpkin Harvest” and “Pumpkin Spice” because honestly, I don’t know. Regardless, it’s fantastic and I’ll have all of them.
