As of today, the Warriors have the most consecutive wins from the start of the season at 20-0. They look absolutely unstoppable, defeating the Clippers, Cavaliers, Raptors, and Bulls. Stephen Curry is shooting out of his mind draining almost half of his three pointers that he attempts. He is currently leading the league in player efficiency and leading the league in scoring at 32 points per game. He is on pace to make five three-pointers per game and more three-pointers by the end of this season than Larry Bird did in his whole career. He is leading the league for guards in terms of field goal percentage in the paint, so he is great all around. The point is that Steph is consistently putting up HUGE numbers every single game, which equates into Warriors victories. The team just meshes perfectly, and the pick and roll with Draymond Green is practically unstoppable, considering Green has extended his range to the three-point line since last season.
In the Western Conference, winning five games in a row is extremely difficult, considering the Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, and Rockets are tough competitors in the division, so the fact they have won 20 straight games is just mind-blowing. Coach Kerr and Luke Walton have been on the top of their game making sure the team stays in tip-top shape, and as a result, they just dominate every team that they play against. Steph Curry does't even play in the fourth quarter of some of his games, because he has usually made enough shots in the first three quarters that the Warriors have already sealed the victory. The Warriors just keep winning... plain and simple.
So the real question is, when does it end? When does the merry-go-round of winning stop and reality set into this young Goliath of a team? Will they become as legendary as the 1996 Bulls that went 72-10? I personally don't think so, but we are in the midst of one of the greatest athletic performances of all time. There is a chance that this Warriors' team will be the best team that ever played in the NBA, and there is a chance that Stephen Curry will be the best to ever play at the point guard position. Coming from a die-hard Bulls fan, I sense greatness when I see it and Steph and the Warriors are the real deal.
