The happiest place on earth is closing its doors...at least for this weekend. In anticipation of the treacherous Hurricane Matthew, Walt Disney World will shut down its operations beginning 5 p.m. Thursday, October 6th into Friday, October 7th. According to the Disney Parks Blog, Disney Springs, miniature golf courses, water parks, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will also be closed Thursday and Friday. Disney dining and hotel cancellation fees will be waived for guests, according to the Walt Disney World Resort FAQ page. This is the fourth time in history that Walt Disney World has had to halt its operations for a weather-related issue.
