A few weeks ago I wrote about people criticizing me from time to time for choosing to live a straight edge lifestyle. Lately, I have been under more scrutiny for making the decision to support Hillary Clinton for president of the United States. I am not going to do a list, but more of an opinion on the personal choices I have made that have led me to choose Hillary.

I’d like to begin by stating how much of an embattled politician Hillary really is. Can you think of a more contested/scrutinized/pressurized politician than Hillary Clinton? Hillary had been able to handle everything that has been thrown at her since beginning of her run for president and had proved time and time again that she can handle pressure. Being a registered democrat, I also relate to many of the views held by Hillary.

Hillary Clinton has a plan. All of her views have been clearly outlined. From education to many different policy proposals, she makes it clear what she wants to do and how she is going to do it. Donald Trump, the other political candidate, comes into this election with absolutely no political experience. A businessman is not the person I feel should be in charge of this country. I like to call Trump trigger-happy -- is this the man you want to have control of this country and the direction it goes? Hillary Clinton has a husband that was a president, she has an absolute absurd amount of political experience right now. Her political resume is quite stacked, and further qualifies her for the position of president.

Many people like to shoot fire about email scandals and Benghazi, among other things. First of all, through the court of law, and through many other investigations, Hillary was found innocent and not enough evidence was brought forth to continue the case, meaning all allegations were DROPPED. Every single person in this world has done things they wish they could take back, and Trump isn’t innocent himself. He is in the midst of many legal scandals within his businesses, and has not been giving blueprints for things he wants to do in office. Time after time he just states he wants to build a wall that Mexico will pay for. While I am actually in favor of this, it is unrealistic to make them pay for it.

Personally, Hillary’s stances on abortion (pro-choice) and gun control (tighter access to guns) are very appealing to me. Being someone that is for a woman being able to make her choice on pregnancy, Hillary brings up valid points. Also, I am very much in favor of more gun control.

It's more than history for me, as if you forgot about Hillary’s past, she makes a great choice for president. Her political experience, confidence, ability to cooperate with other countries and plan going forward are all reasons that I think she should be named the next leader of our country.
