If you are looking for a new sport to play, try volleyball. I promise it'll be fun. Even though you'll probably suck when you first start, it's very easy to pick up and improve. You can play it at any time of the year, whether it's on the beach sand, or indoors. Get a bunch of your friends to start playing with you, and if they give you a lame-ass excuse like "I don't have the money" or they whine and say "I don't have the time," spike this at them (haha he said 'spike' and this is an article about volleyball): volleyball is virtually free, and all you need is 30 minutes to an hour of it at a time. There are plenty of parks with volleyball courts and if you're in college, join an intramural team or head down to the gym and play. Also, you can buy a volleyball for around $20 so everyone playing could chip in a few bucks each and ta-da! you have volleyball.

Here are my top five reasons for why you should start playing volleyball:

1. It can be competitive and intense, or low-key and casual.

However you are looking to play, it's possible. Find the right group to play with and you'll have an amazing time. If you want to be like my summer team and specifically like my friend Brendan, and you want to write the other team's name in the sand and stomp it out before the game to get hyped up, go for it! If you want to scream and clap after every big point, you do you. Just go have fun!

2. You get to spike the ball into people's faces.

Trust me, if you have some anger deep down inside of you learn how to spike the ball well, you'll feel like the Incredible Hulk minus ya' know, being green and stuff.

3. Volleyball is good exercise.

I'll admit it, I've gotten tired playing volleyball before. If you are playing in a competitive game and are constantly jumping, running, and diving (especially on sand), you're going to feel it. But it feels great because sports!

4. Volleyball is a great social event.

I've made some great friends playing volleyball and I've learned a lot about them while playing (I won't name names). Especially if you are playing casually, volleyball is a great thing to do at a big social gathering because anyone can play.

5. You get to SPIKE the ball into people's faces

Oh, I said this already? WELL, THEN IT MUST BE GREAT (sorry that was aggressive).

Why not play some pool volleyball? Just watch out for your face.

Some hilarious things are bound to happen while playing volleyball.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
