One of my favorite things about living in Utah is the distinction of the seasons. Some of them may be much shorter or much worse than others, but every season is present and noticeably different. My personal favorite is Fall. When the leaves begin to change colors and the cool breeze blows in, the mountains take on a whole new beauty. Because Utah is so full of farm land, when September hits, so do the corn mazes and haunted attractions. Most people find that corn mazes are one of the more entertaining things to do before the snow hits. They allow you to be outside, bundled up of course, and experience the fun that is Halloween, the best holiday. Here are just a few options of what corn mazes you can visit during the Fall season in Utah.
Lehi, Utah is home to Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Fest. Named one of the top three mazes to explore, Cornbelly's Maze offers fun and scary options. In addition to the corn maze itself, Cornbelly's also features spooky storytelling nights, magic nights, a haunted barn, and a spooky castle.
The Corn Maize and Pumpkin Patch in Ogden Utah is one of the more family friendly options for patrons. The Pumpkin Patch allows munchkins to pick out their own pumpkins from off the vine for a small price. The Haunted Trail is also available on weekends for some scarier fun.
McCoard's Corn Maze in Provo takes corn maze adventuring to a whole new level. In addition to running through the corn, they now offer a brand new zip line and even zombie paintball for you to enjoy. This adventure zone is definitely something for kids of all ages to check out this year.
Black Island Farms is something to rave about according to parents. Complete with slides and a bounce house, it is the destination corn maze for little munchkins. There are two big mazes to explore, connected by a bridge, and many animals to see on the farm.
Hee Haw Farms in Lindon is a lot of fun for a little money. Hee Haw features hayrides, as well as, an all ages petting zoo, and pony rides for the little kids. The corn maze is available for all ages and a haunted hayride is available for higher age ranges. Hee Haw is also open other times of the year for Easter Egg Hunts and even summer camps.
The Crazy Corn Maze in West Jordan features quite the haunted trail for Halloween Daredevils. The trail is completely separate from the corn maze and the live actors are sure to give you a real scare. Adventurers can answer trivia questions to help them navigate through the eight acres of corn twists and turns.
Finally, Carter's Crazy Corn Maze in Garland, Utah is a must see. From above, the corn maze itself is always something to see. New and fun writing or images are carved into the corn stocks every year. After dark, the corn maze takes a turn for the worst and the spooks come out to play. Try navigating through serious acres of corn while running around in the haunted darkness. It will certainly be a night you remember.
