Throughout my athletic career, I've had lots of great memories from the many sports teams I've joined and attempted to join. Although, due to not being the most athletically inclined person, I've had my share of mishaps and mess ups. Of course, these situations are completely and most honestly a part of my career. Athletics aren't only about being your very best, but appreciating yourself and moving forward even at your not so good moments. I've created 10 scenarios that relate to my most "unathletically rewarding" moments of being an athlete.
1. ”Throwing is simple with good technique.”
"Practice makes perfect."
2. “Just use more aggression when you try to steal the soccer ball.”
"BE AGGRESSIVE! Don’t knock the person out!"
3."We'll do an easy route since you're just starting cross country.”
"I guess we can take another short cut."
4. “You’ll be perfectly fine squatting without a spotter.”
"Next time make sure you put the bar back before you let go."
5. “After this work out you’re going to feel refreshed and completely renewed.”
6. “You won’t sweat that much I promise.”
7. “You didn't make varsity, you’d make a great water girl though!”
"Could you hand me my water bottle?"
8. “You got 2nd place! I’m so proud of you!”
9. “Usually the nonathletic people have better sportsmanship.”
"You should really try to be nicer, they’re just trying to help you out."
