How often do you catch yourself complaining about back and neck pains?

If you're like me, it's probably a lot more than you would like. On top of those normal everyday pains, I have Crohn's disease, making my digestive system a wild card some days. I could easily go to a doctor for every ache and pain I have, but I found a less expensive and intrusive option that I wish everyone would give a try.

Chiropractic care has had such a huge impact on my life and saved me a lot of money in potential medical bills. I still go see my regular physician when needed, but I always know whether I should try chiropractic first.

One of my favorite things about chiropractic care is that it all feels relaxing and isn't the least bit uncomfortable. The most basic treatment you can receive from a chiropractor is an adjustment. This involves a chiropractor's primary job: to correct the alignment of your spine. Almost everyone develops some level of scoliosis, and this can affect your posture and many other areas of your body.

Over a series of visits, a chiropractor can reverse this process and alleviate some pain at the same time. Most chiropractors also offer some form of massage therapy as a part of their treatment. Massage therapy is excellent for working out knots in tight muscles, on top of just feeling really great! After a good massage and adjustment, I feel like all is right in my body, and I can not stress to you just how amazing that feeling can be.

However, I originally started seeing a chiropractor as a way to help my Crohn's disease. Chiropractors can help many different areas of the body flow smoothly, from the digestive system to the sinuses. I turned to a chiropractic as a way to help with the pain my Crohn's was causing me. Along the way, I learned about my particular case of scoliosis and received treatment for both.

Today, I go see my chiropractor for everything from all kinds of body aches to congested sinuses. It is nice to have a safe and healthy way to deal with these problems that doesn't involve an expensive doctor's visit or taking more pills than I already take. I have always been intrigued by alternative medicine and chiropractic is one that I put my confidence in, and I recommend every chance I get.

There is no reason to not give chiropractic a shot since it's covered by most insurances. You can simply use it as an alternative to going straight to a physician, or you can make chiropractic care a part of your every day life and use it as a way to relax while treating long term issues.

Give your local chiropractor a call and find out what they can do for you!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
