Ever wonder why working out is so good for you? Aside from the attractive guys working out in the weight room and showing off their muscles, the gym is actually a wonderful place. The smell of sweat, the clinging of weights, and the sighs of achievement are all a part of the experience. On the bright side, there are many reasons why going to the gym is overall a pleasing and beneficial experience for you. Here are ten reasons as to why you should give it a try. Who knows, maybe this will give you more of a reason to eat six Oreos instead of four.

1. The gym may have your future wife/husband.

You never know what will happen at the gym. You may be struggling with that last set and then Mr. or Mrs. Right just looks at you and it seems as if you can do anything, even if you are dying inside.

2. Make it fun and go with the right person.

Sometimes working out can be a struggle. So, make sure you go with that one friend who you know will make it a little easier. I find that if I go with funny people, their complaining makes up for how miserable we are, in a funny way.

3. You will find yourself showing off, a lot.

Okay, so your body is changing. That is awesome! You will soon find yourself walking to and from class showing off those now toned-legs and flexing that two-pack you have been working on.

4. Your confidence will grow dramatically.

When it comes to being healthy, it is a lifestyle and it takes a lot of work. There will be a time in that process where you will fin yourself loving who you are. Every inch, every hair etc. will all make up this perfect being that is you. The harder you work, the more you will love who you are.

5. You will begin singing and dancing to yourself.

Okay so if you are like me, you will listen to Pandora or a song on iTunes when you are working out. Eventually, you will find yourself singing to yourself just to motivate you to finish strong. Just “Kill ‘Em With Kindness.”

6. Your diet will change and you will hate it.

You know how you just hate bananas? Well, your body may think otherwise when you start working out. You are going to need nutrients from certain food groups and you will find yourself eating salad for the first time. It is crazy!

7. About that diet thing, you will always be hungry.

Okay, I did not warn you…you will ALWAYS be hungry. You will want to consume everything in front of you and this is where you learn to “control” that diet. It is hard to grasp and control but just stay positive, it will happen.

8. Your body is going to change and it is weird.

Your body is going to start dropping inches and toning up which will make your clothes fit weird. So, treat yourself to a new pair of pants or a new shirt to compliment that newly sculpted body. You are doing great you sexy you!

9. It is okay to have that dessert, really.

Just because you are working out doesn’t mean you have to deprive yourself from your favorite foods completely. With that said, know when enough is enough and understand that you can have a smaller portion size and still enjoy your favorite things. Or, you can eat the whole thing now and just work out harder tomorrow.

10. Just do it.

Getting started is the hardest thing of all and it is going to take a lot of self-motivation to make it through this. With that said, know that you are able to get off the couch and go for a walk. Once you get started you’re going to be able to do things you never thought you could do, like rock climbing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
