Not always, but 99 percent of the time, going to the gym may honestly be one of the biggest struggles of my everyday life. As lame as that sounds and as bad as I want to have the famous summer "bikini bod," most mornings I wake up and I just can't even.
What does eventually get me out of bed is that I do want to lead a healthy life and workout. Once I'm there, though, there are definitely some interesting people there that make the trip all the more worthwhile.
1. The TV enthusiast
It's crowded. It smells bad. It's hot. Do you really need to walk at a 1.5 speed for an hour so you can watch TV? You can literally watch TV at home standing up and get the same results.
2. The muscle man
This guy loves himself. He probably kisses his biceps when no one is looking.
3. The annoyingly fit couple
They probably met here, went on their first date here and will probably celebrate their anniversary here. Hey, at least they didn't let themselves go after getting in a relationship.
4. The BFFs
These two are attached at the hip. From sharing a locker to side by side treadmills, these two don't even think about splitting up to do abs and legs. They find a way to do it together, all while talking about the past week's "Bachelorette" episode.
5. The bromance.
Probably found in the weight lift section, these "bros" are low key trying to one up each other to impress every girl in the gym with little to no luck. At the end of the day, they get a protein shake and call it a day.
6. The quick results hopeful
This person is probably preparing for a vacation, reunion or party in the upcoming weeks or days. By trying to speed up their results, they're doing it all wrong and looking like a spaz the entire way.
7. The VS model
Are. You. Kidding. Me? You just ran six miles and you're not even sweating. I should just stop.
8. The everday-er
This person comes to the gym, has their routine and gets their stuff done. It could be just a way to get out of the house or they genuinely try to live a healthy lifestyle. Or maybe they just like to eat a lot and have to workout.
The gym is something different for everyone. Whether it's an escape from the real world or a place to go with your best friend, I support all types that go to the gym. You're there, and you're bettering yourself. Because we all know at the end of the day:
