As the weather finally gets warm, that means it’s finally golf season. Every golfer has thought about what it would be like to play a round with a celebrity, and who would be the most fun to play with. I am no exception. I’ve spent a ton of time trying to come up with a dream foursome to play with. For me, it is Barack Obama, Justin Timberlake, and Mike Tyson, but after seeing Rickie Fowler’s Snapchats with Jordan Spieth and the crew, that might have changed. But that’s not what this list is, this list is comprised of the top ten celebrities to play a round with.
10. Michael Jordan:
Jordan is huge golfer and plays all the time, he definitely gets to be on the list but only at the ten spot because he’s known for placing ridiculous wagers on each hole, and as a broke college student I do not have the kind of cash to keep up with him.
9. Steph Curry:
Curry is best player in the NBA right now, he’s played golf with President Obama, and I’m assuming with a ton of other well known celebrities. Plus, we’ve seen him sink shots from all over with a basketball, I can’t help but wonder if he can do the same on a golf course.
8. Jerry Jones:
The owner of the Dallas Cowboys is one of the most polarizing figures in sports, I would love to pick his brain for four hours about his thoughts on the NFL and his place in it.
7. Mark Wahlberg:
Another well-known celebrity golfer. He, Justin Timberlake, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler were reportedly supposed to play a round at the Detroit Golf Club, but unfortunately the event was cancelled. If Marky Mark is still looking to play though, I’m available.
6. Mark Cuban:
Another billionaire sports team owner makes the list. Dallas Mavericks owner and one of the stars on Shark Tank would be ton of fun to play with, assuming he is similar to the way he portrayed himself in the show Entourage.
5. Tom Brady:
I’d want to do this just in case there is a chance that Brady is totally honest and would want to talk about anything. I’d sign a confidentiality agreement if it meant I found out what happened with those footballs.
4. Justin Timberlake:
Timberlake is well known as one of the best celebrity golfers out there. Plus, he seems like a good guy who would be fun to play a round with for four hours. Plus there’s a chance I get to meet Jessica Biel, so definitely worth it.
3. Bill Murray:
I have no idea if Bill Murray plays golf, or even if he’s good at it, but Caddyshack alone gets him on the list. Plus, that might be the funniest round of golf I’ll ever play.
2. Tiger Woods:
The former number one player in the world is definitely in the top two. The super aloof Master’s champion might never play on the PGA Tour again, but he’s been playing his whole life, I’m sure he’ll probably play a round or so every once in a while.
1. Matt Damon:
Again another person who I have no idea if he plays golf or not, but The Legend of Bagger Vance is one of my favorite golf movies and I’d love to play with him and try and convince him to make Rounders 2 the whole time.
