Everyone is looking for fun and adventurous things to do in the summer. But sometimes, it is a struggle to find fun things to do in your hometown. Here are 12 fun things to do in Fort Wayne, Indiana, this summer.

1. Eat at the Deck.

An outdoor restaurant with good food and great view. The Deck is a fun, upbeat, beach atmosphere in Fort Wayne.

2. Visit Three Rivers Festival.

Every year, in the beginning of July, Fort Wayne has the Three Rivers Festival downtown, which is a festival to celebrate the city of Fort Wayne. At this festival, you have traditional carnival games and Junk Food Alley, selling everything from cotton candy and elephant ears to deep fried Oreos.

3. Go to a Tincaps Game.

Enjoy America's past time by representing your hometown baseball team! Don't forget to grab a selfie with Johnny.

4. Go to a drive-in movie.

Everyone loves watching movies, and going to the drive-in is a wonderful way to watch them. You also can cross that off your "Summer Bucket List" that you've had on there forever.

5. Bike the River Green Way.

The River Green Way runs through Fort Wayne, and what a better way to see the city than by biking through it? This is a great way to enjoy the Indiana summer.

For three hours, every Thursday, in downtown Fort Wayne, you can enjoy food from some local vendors! All the food trucks in the Fort Wayne area meet here to promote their local business. You can come try new things while supporting these small, hometown businesses.

8. Go to a movie or concert at Foellinger.

This is Fort Wayne's amphitheater where many artists have come to perform. This is a great way to get to get some sun and listen to awesome music, but if concerts aren't your thing, you could go and catch a movie.

9. Go eat at Coney Island.

A Fort Wayne classic beloved by all, you can never go wrong with a old fashioned New York Coney dog and a glass bottle of Coke.

The library system offers a summer reading program from young children to adults. The level of commitment is different for all ages, but the best part about it is you can earn prizes! This is a great way to promote reading and to get through that never-ending summer reading list.

Crazy Pins is a popular entertainment center in the Fort Wayne area. A great way to beat the heat by bowling, mini-golf, laser-tag and a variety of arcade games. Throughout the summer, they offer a variety of deals and events.

12. Zestos

Summertime is hot, right? Nothing says summer like ice cream. Zestos is a local ice cream stand that has many locations throughout the city. Walk on up and enjoy a nice, cold, sweet treat.
