With summer ending and fall beginning, there are some of us that look forward to that chillier weather and those moments when we can pull out our sweaters and boots.

But the most appealing thing to me about fall? Halloween! As someone who loves a good horror movie, attending corn mazes, and everything related to pumpkins, I wanted to share with others how I cope with having to wait so many months for my favorite holiday.

As a student who is on her laptop all too much, the one site I am always turning to is YouTube. During these months leading up to Halloween, I spend my time watching hauls, decoration videos, and everything else pertaining to the spook-tacular month of October. Even if the videos are older or just from last year, I still get myself in the Autumn mood by watching them!

Here are a few of my faves:

1. Michelle Phan

When I first discovered Phan, I was just another girl searching on the internet for makeup tutorials. When I realized that she also did Halloween makeup and costume ideas, I was hooked! Her videos and quality are absolutely amazing, Halloween inspired or not. If you are looking to go all out this year, Phan is your girl.

2. Pinkstylist

Charlie Short, also known as Pinkstylist, has been one of my favorite makeup artists on YouTube since I created my account. His costume makeup is on point, taking you step by step on how to put on the makeup, how he recreates these characters, and even makes videos of scaring people on Omegle with the creepier costumes. Again, if your looking to dress to impress this Halloween check him out!

3. Sarah Hawkinson

Upon finding her channel, I knew I wanted to be like her. Hawkinson's channel represents her love for horror, grunge, and a multitude of band t-shirts. What made her even more awesome was her discussions on horror movies and her hauls on Halloween decor. It wasn't until I found her that I felt that it was OK to buy skulls and such off the Halloween racks and keep them in my normal room decor. She also has makeup and costume tutorials, both are easy to follow and recreate on your own. Her other channel, PossessedbyHorror, is one where she also goes through horror movies and gives her reactions and thoughts on them.

4. Halloween Happy

Sam is a new addition to my faves list after just recently stumbling upon her videos in the "Videos you might like" section. I love her positivity and love for Halloween. Sam has many hauls and decorations that she shares, as well as guides you through her local stores in order to show you what to expect for when you go out to shop. Her relationship with 'Miles' also keeps me entertained!

5. Grav3yard Girl

Bunny Meyer, aka. Swamp Queen, aka. Grav3yard Girl, is one of the more free-spirited YouTubers that I love to watch. With such a quirky personality and a love for the odd and strange, she has to be the one I always come back to every year for Halloween ideas. She does the makeup, the costumes, the hauls, and she even takes you through her preparation for her own yard decorating and treat bags she gives away. Bunny is your girl of you want to have a fun time during this holiday.

Even though we are in the beginning of September, there is always room to get ready for October. If you love weird, creepy, spooky, or just general fun, Halloween is that perfect time of year for awesome costumes and amazing treats.

I can't wait!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
