1. Manco & Manco Pizza
One of the most visited places in Ocean City, NJ and with three boardwalk locations (9th Street open year-round) locals and tourists flock here for what is considered the best pizza at the Jersey shore. Tossing dough into the air and serving up fresh, cold Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer, Manco and Manco’s is an experience any person visiting Ocean City for the first time needs to have. Although there may be a line when arriving, this outstanding, well-known pizza is definitely worth the wait.
2. Brown's
This breakfast place, located on the boardwalk on St. Charles Place, serves amazing food with a great view of the beach and friendly staff. Most people go here for their famous old fashion homemade donuts, which are made right in front if your eyes. These donuts come out hot and fresh each morning, with toppings like chocolate glaze, powered sugar, and honey melting down the sides. They are the perfect size for dunking in your morning coffee. They stop serving breakfast at 11:30am, so you definitely do not want to over sleep and miss out on a small taste of heaven!
3. Kessel's Korner
This old fashioned, affordable, family owned restaurant is perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just for ice cream or shakes! The red checkered tablecloths and booths feel as though you are traveling back in time as you walk into Kessel’s Korner. A deliciously juicy, tangy-sweet and thick Jersey tomato slice that fits perfectly in between Kessel’s cheeseburgers will put satisfy all your needs after a long hot day at the beach. While you are here you also cannot forget to try the crinkly cut fries and a thick 22-ounce milkshake (made with Breyers Ice cream). Kessesl’s Korner is found on the corner of 28th Street and Asbury Avenue.
4. Voltaco’s
Voltacos Italian take out food is a fabulous idea for nights in and for vacationers who prefer not to cook. Serving all the best Italian dishes, sandwiches, and subs. This is also a great place if you are heading to the beach for the afternoon and want to grab a cold hoagie or a hot sub to take along with you.This popular Italian restaurant serves huge proportions so come with an appetite. Voltacos is take-out only so make sure to have a place in mind to enjoy your sandwich or meal! Voltacos is located on 9th and West street and is very small so keep your eye out for it.
5. Hobby Horse Ice Cream Parlor
This adorable, family owned ice cream parlor is located just a few short blocks from the board walk and right in the center of town, on the corner of 8th and Ocean Avenue. The Hobby Horse is known for large portions at affordable prices and features over 30 different kinds of ice cream, along with a delicious gourmet coffee bar. The Hobby Horse also features indoor and outdoor seating, and of course, a carousel horse for the kids to sit on. The line might be long, but it moves extremely fast!
