Instagram is my favorite social media platform. I could spend hours aimlessly scrolling through random bagel or vacation spot accounts. Checking Instagram is part of both my daily morning and bedtime rituals.

National Geographic photographers from around the world share their photos. From beautiful landscapes to animals in their natural habitat, this one of my favorite accounts. It allows you to see the world through pictures. Who wouldn't love to live the life of a Nat Geo photographer?
2. Betches
This is the official Insta of Betches Love This (maintained by the authors of "Nice is Just a Place in France"). My go-to account for hilarious GIFs.
3. HumansofNY
This account documents the stories of average, everyday New York City citizens. It never fails to make you take a step back and recognize that every single person has a different story to tell.
4. Beigecardigan
This is Jessica Anteby's account, which consists of various pictures and GIFs that are sure to make you laugh out loud and look around to make sure that no one heard you. She is a self-proclaimed "MemeGod," and I would have to agree.

This account has racked up almost five million followers with his hilarious pictures. This is my daily source of laughter and a must-follow.

Fuckjerry is similar to thefatjewish. It gives me some more things to casually laugh at when I'm sitting alone waiting at the doctors office.

I mean, who doesn't love Ellen? This is her account, where she shares various pictures of cute cats, celebrities and random pieces of daily advice.

This is a must-follow for all girls. Most pictures have me either laughing or staring at my screen thinking "that couldn't be more true."

Followers from around the world can submit photos with a pretty-colored drink in the air with a kick ass backdrop. My goal in life is to be posted on this or Foodintheair.

This is another girls' must-follow. Who doesn't have some good daddy issues, ya know? She has almost 1.5 million followers and her Insta game is almost as strong as her daddy issues.

Basically drinksintheair but imagine photos of food in front of gorgeous beaches or stadiums. Avoid if you're feeling hangry.

I just started following 9gag last week, and it's already among my favorites. It legitimately has 16.6 million followers, so you should jump on this train. It provides a good giggle and some cute pictures that will just make you happy.

Who doesn't love a good text from your ex? This account consists of those texts you want to screen shot and send in your group chat so that everyone can get a good lol. These are actual texts from people's exes that might make you thankful your relationship wasn't that bad.
