12 Memorable Moments From SuperBowl LII
Fox News 29 Philly

As someone who knows absolutely nothing about American Football, BUT, is a Philadelphian, I naturally supported the Philadelphia Eagles. SuperBowl LII between the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots had emotions running high, but alas the Eagles came out victorious. The team's and the city's first victory since the inception of the SuperBowl 52 years ago. The drought has ended.

This is a superficial look at the game from someone who knows nothing about the sport. Check out some of the most memorable moments from the night of the event.

1. The Eagle's entrance to the Football field

Like the true Philadelphians or Philadelphians at heart that the players are, they made an iconic entrance to "Dreams and Nightmares " by Philly's very own Meek Mill. In true Philly fashion, bars and watch parties in the city got hyped to the song which solidified our belief in the Eagles and them winning the 2018 SuperBowl.

2. Justin Timberlake’s Halftime Show

He paid tribute to Prince and then painted the town purple in his honor. The performance in my opinion was average. I expected fireworks and explosions, but not everyone can be Bruno Mars or Beyoncé. Or, maybe it was his outfit that distracted from the performance.

3. Justin Timberlake's outfit

What was that? He looked like a country star transitioning into the Pop music scene. It had mountains and deer, paired with an orange bandana that still confuses the internet nearly a week later. The camouflage fit has been compared to the Mac OS Sierra background. The internet is still having a field day with his outfit.

He should've worn a suit and tie. And then he bent the Jordans. Hey Justin, creasing the Js is a no.

4. The kid who became an instant meme

One kid was lucky enough to snag a selfie with Justin Timberlake. His appearance and apparent enthusiasm from what we saw on TV caused the public to make a meme of him. He was later identified as Ryan McKenna and he is enjoying his instant fame on Instagram. He even appeared on GMA.

5. That one time the Patriots took the lead score

The New England Patriots got a three-point lead ahead of the Eagles by the end of the third quarter. Everyone must have been wondering if the Patriots would maintain the lead and win the game, but alas, they didn't.

6. Tom Brady

7. The Eagles win their first NFL Championship 🦅: Final Score 41 (E)- 33 (P)

Fly Eagles Fly/ On the road to victory/

Fight, Fight, Fight/ Fight Eagles Fight

Score a touchdown 123/ 123

Hit 'em low/ Hit 'em high

And watch our Eagles fight

Fly Eagles Fly/ On the road to victory

E-A-G-L-E-S!/ Eagles!

They flew, they soared, and they landed with their first SuperBowl / NFL Championship title and the city couldn't be happier. The city is now greener than the grass on the other side and if that doesn't read team spirit, what does? The Lombardi trophy has arrived home safely. 52 years of waiting and all the hard work paid off.

8. Kevin Hart attempting to get on stage

This didn't go over so well because Kevin was a wee tipsy and security decided it was not his time to shine.

9. Kevin Hart's (again) potty mouth on live TV

When he eventually went on stage, he dropped the F bomb when he said the Eagles won because "We gave a fuck!"

10. Nick Foles was named MVP of SuperBowl LII

From Wentz we came, in Foles we trust!

11. Zach Ertz was the real MVP/winner of the evening

Zach and his wife are now both world champions.

12. Celebration in Philadelphia after the win was LIT 🔥

Broad Street was shut down in Philadelphia. The celebration started at Temple University and went all the way to City Hall (almost 2 miles). There were literally fires started on some streets to celebrate the win. People were climbing roofs, traffic lights and just about anything they could find; a bit unsafe and unwarranted but a celebration nonetheless.

BONUS: The celebration on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Most schools and universities were shut down for parade day. The party continued into the weekend. May the town be forever painted in green and let's raise a glass for the Philadelphia Eagles! 🦅

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
