One of my all-time favorite things to do is to travel to new cities and countries. No matter where it is, I always find joy somewhere and fall in love. I always research wherever I want to go because I want to get the most out of my trip. My goal is to travel to almost every country in the world when I get out of college, which I know will cost a large amount of money and is a very unrealistic goal. Regardless of the amount of money, I am willing to pay whatever to live out my dreams. With that, in no particular order, here are 11 countries that are on my travel bucket list and why.
1. Australia

Anyone who knows me knows I love animals. Koalas have been one of my favorite animals for a while, and I would love to go and be able to hold and pet one. I also am big into music and dancing, and would love to see something at the grand Sydney Opera House.
2. Thailand

Thailand has many jungles and islands that you can go and visit. Along with this, they also have super warm weather that accompanies the islands. There also are many elephants, and as that is one of my favorite animals as well, I would love to see and pet one. Visiting Thailand is also rather cheap compared to a lot of countries.
3. England

4. Germany

For me, Germany holds a special place in my heart because half of my ancestry is from there. There are many river tours that you can take that let you see a good portion of the city you are in a short amount of time. I have taken a similar tour in France on the Seine River, and it really is one of the coolest things to experience. They also have Oktoberfest and as a beer-lover, I would enjoy to experience this festival.
5. India

India has many extravagant buildings to visit like the Taj Mahal and Amer Fort. There are many monuments and pieces of history to learn about. Also, India is filled with religion and religious buildings.
6. The Netherlands

The Netherlands, specifically Amsterdam, is filled with the arts. There's many art museums, one that features Van Gogh's work, and lots of live music. The buildings and their structure is really pretty, and you are able to walk along rivers to see all of the beautiful, yet, simple architecture.
7. Greece

Greece's plethora of colorful homes and beautiful islands cover the country. Greece is filled with lots of history between Athens, Naxos and Olympia, where you would definitely learn a lot just by immersing yourself in their culture and surroundings. As a history fanatic, Greece can teach you how people used to live and compare it to how they live now.
8. Spain

Spain has always interested me since fourth grade. Their beautiful and intricate architecture is definitely something a tourist would want to look at and take pictures of. I love to watch soccer and would love to watch a game at Camp Nou.
9. Switzerland

Switzerland has beautiful scenery all over the country. Featuring many mountains and lakes, it is home to one of the most famous honeymoon spots, the Swiss Alps. They also are home to Swiss chocolate, which is one of my favorite things to snack on.
10. Ireland

Ireland has a lot of medieval history. There are also many parks and castles to visit and scenery to see. I would love to visit Ireland during St. Patrick's Day, even though I bet that is their busiest time for tourism.
11. Brazil

Brazil is home to the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. This statue has been featured in many films and is one of the prominent landmarks of the country. Brazil also has the Brazilian Carnival that is a celebration before the fasting season of Lent.
Traveling is one of the most important things to me. I like to dream about where I will go and what I will do when I am there. I will admit that I am a total tourist when I am in a new place, but I am a tourist that likes to experience as much as I can. I hope in the future I can travel to these countries, and I hope I can cross them off my traveling bucket list.
