The point guard is one of the most important positions on the basketball court and this current era has been acclaimed as the golden age of point guards in the NBA. Night in and night out point guards know that have to bring their A-game because their position is the deepest in the NBA. In today’s game point guards do it all scoring, rebounding, defending and deciding when to get teammates involved. Point guard play this year has been exceptional and all ten of point guards on the list have their team in contention for the playoffs.
1. Stephen Curry 30.4 PPG, 51 FG%, 6.6 APG, 5.4 RPG
Reigning MVP Stephen Curry has been unguardable this season not only has he been the best point guard he’s been the best player in the league.
2. Russel Westbrook 24.1 PPG, 46 FG%, 10.5 APG, 7.6 RPG
Russ is the most athletic player in the league and a triple double threat every night. If it wasn’t for Curry’s unreal season this year Westbrook would be the favorite for MVP.
3. Chris Paul 19.9 PPG, 46 FG%, 9.7 APG, 4 RPG
As the elder statesman of this top ten, Chris Paul is the best two-way point guard in the game. With Blake Griffin missing more than half of the season Paul has stepped up and the Clippers haven’t missed a beat.
4. Damian Lilliard 26.1 PPG, 43 FG%, 6.9 APG, 4.3 RPG

Lowry made his second straight start in the All-Star game this season after offseason weight loss to transform his body. He has the Toronto Raptors second in the Eastern Conference and they are the only legitimate threat to stop LeBron James from getting back to his NBA Finals.
6. John Wall 20 PPG, 42 FG%, 9.9 APG, 4.8 RPG
John Wall game continues to improve every year and he believes that’s he’s actually a top three point guard in the NBA. For now, he’s not top three yet but in a few seasons, he may very well be.
7. Mike Conley 15.3 PPG, 42 FG%, 6.1 APG, 2.9 RPG
Conley is the most underrated point guard in the league and has never made an All-Star game in his career because of the positions depth in the Western Conference. As the point man of the Memphis Grizzlies when he’s not dishing it in the post to Gasol or Z-Bo the smooth lefty uses his quickness to get wherever he wants.
8. Kyrie Irving 19.6 PPG, 46 FG%, 4.5 APG, 2.8 RPG
At just 23 years old Kyrie is the youngest player on this list and is only this low on the list because injury. He missed the first two months of the season recovering from a left kneecap fracture and it took him a few weeks to get back into his groove.
9. Isaiah Thomas 21.8 PPG, 42 FG%, 6.6 APG, 2.9 RPG
At just 5’9” Isaiah Thomas was named an All-Star for the first time this season becoming the lowest draft pick to ever participate in the game. When the Celtics need a bucket Thomas is the guy they go to.
10. Kemba Walker 21.4 PPG, 43 FG%, 5.2 APG, 4.5 RPG
Kemba is having the best season of his young career. He’s polished his jump shot and is shooting a career best from three. With his improved range, his step back has become a lethal weapon.
