To The Person Who Loved Me When I Didn't Love Myself,
Life lately has been a tornado of emotions. I'm currently in that gray area where I'm not sure what is next, and I don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing. Am I falling behind my peers, am I actually exceeding some of them? ... Or am I right where I'm supposed to be? All of these questions in my head have been making me my own worst enemy, but thank God for you. If I did not have you in my life, it's safe to say I'd be tossed in a looney bin.
If I'm having a bad day, I can always count on you to make me smile. Whether it's you saying something completely asinine, or extremely sweet, you make that bad day disappear for a moment. You have the power to make those feelings of anxiety or sadness vanish with just the grasp of your hand holding mine.
When I feel like my world is falling apart, you help me build it back together piece by piece. Things just aren't as bad when you put them into perspective for me. When I have 100 reasons why I don't like myself, you fire back with 101 reasons why I should. Maybe Plato wasn't crazy when he created his philosophy on soul mates.
As the story consists, humans were originally created with two faces, four legs, and four arms. They were split in half and destined to spend their lives searching for their other halves. I believe when that other half is found, everything is easier. Everything makes sense. You are that other half for me, my soul mate. We may be opposites, but that's why we even each other out. When I'm down, you bring me up. When I'm happy, you escalate that happiness. Everything in life just makes more sense since you've come along.
Thank you for your pure existence. You have helped me see there is nothing that cannot be conquered when somebody has faith in you. You have helped me better myself and helped me love who I am because of the love you shower me with constantly. Life's gotten better since you've came along and there's no way but up from here. Thank you for giving me that mind set.
