College has started back up again for those who used summer as an actual break, and I can almost feel the anxiety in the air.
This is just to let you know that you are not alone, and just about everyone else has the same lingering stress on his or her mind. It is hard to juggle studying, social life, family, work, sleep, eating healthy, and the list can go on and on.
This isn’t aimed specifically at college students either. Everyone could use a chill pill and an inspirational quote every once in a while.
It’s almost like if we don’t have something to worry about, we have to come up with something to make us lose sleep at night.
I have learned that all of the stuff that we let get to us so much, isn’t worth it.
Education is important, but that one missed assignment won’t matter in 5 years, and when your friend is upset with you, you guys will work it out, I promise. I’m sure it was a petty argument anyway, and you both will be laughing that even happened three days later.
Don’t fret about situations you can’t change, especially people you can’t change. Sometimes there are just born and raised assh*es, and you have to let them go and live their own assh*le life. (Karma will hopefully do the rest.)
There is just plenty of time wasted distressing about life when you could just reevaluate yourself and look at the bigger picture.
Minor setbacks are mandatory in order for you to grow as a person, just don’t let that tension of stress consume you, or control you.
Go on a walk, listen to your favorite music, call your mom or dad, eat a donut, cry in a pillow, FaceTime your dog, eat another donut, just do whatever you need to do to feel better. Just know that grades don’t define you, and the only thing stress is doing is aging you faster.
Everything always works out in the end; push through whatever you are tackling. Oh yeah here’s some inspirational quotes I was talking about before.
“Look around bro, look at life.” –Lil Yachty
“Don’t worry, be happy.” –Bob Marley
“You’re only human, you don’t have to have it together every minute of every day.” –Anne Hathaway
“I will breathe. I will think of solutions. I will not let my worry control me. I will not let my stress level break me. I will simply breathe. And it will be okay because I don’t quit." – Shayne Mcclendon
