To The Girls Who Grow Up Too Fast In High School

What does "growing up too quickly" mean? When I say 'growing up' I do not mean physically or developmentally because that happens normally unless you have a disorder or disease that may stagnant that. "Growing up too quickly" in particular means becoming more as an adult when you are still just a child and making decisions that are not always the smartest. This "growing up" part of life can become stressful and change others perspectives on what life really can turn into to by the way you think. Some girls in high school grow up way too fast and realize that they are acting more immature than usual and doing things that many girls shouldn't. Many girls in today's society are worried about their bodies and how it's portrayed to others, which just hypnotizes their mind to think that a perfect body is needed. Girls should think that a body you are comfortable with having is the best one and not a body that you see as "perfect." Many girls "grow up too quickly" in high school and do not realize that they are rushing through things that should not have been experienced at that young age.

Some girls experience things in high school that they were not ready to experience and regret it later on in life. Do not rush anything until you are ready to attempt something and keep your distance from negativity or fake friends in general. High School is mainly when things go a bit out of control and the testing the limit factors enter. Peer pressure also continues to grow on children, and high school girls do not realize that temptations strike as well. I am talking about sexual tensions for girls in high school. Do not feel the need to rush these things. When you teenagers rush things during high school and grow up quicker than usual, many things seem easy, but affects you drastically and continuously. Females who grow up too rapidly in high school become more exposed to dangers and other harmful experiences that they would not want to encounter at such a young age. "Growing up" is fine, but growing up too quickly can be detrimental.

Everyone should grow up, but at a certain pace. High school is where some kids do unnecessary things and think they are grown in a certain year because of superiority and class. School can change how others perceive others and just make sure growing up is a process, not a race. We have our entire lives to grow up, there just is no need to rush. Growing up distinguishes the fact that many mistakes will come upon you, but it is up to your decisions to stop those problems from occurring more than once.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
