Stop. Put down your phone. Look around you. What's going on? Have you really taken a moment to sit back and look at what's happening? Time goes by so fast, and it goes by even faster when you're glued to your phone and stalking every form of social media he has.

Why are you doing this to yourself? Is he really that great if you have to sit around all day and think of every possible scenario of why he isn't texting you back? I've been in this trap before... and it's deadly.

One minute you're the easy-going, not-so-clingy, relaxed person you've always been. As the days go on, you start getting more comfortable with this guy. Now it's become a habit to check your phone the second you wake up to see if he texted you. That one day comes that you don't get that "good morning" text and your heart sinks. Questions like, "did I do something wrong?" or, "am I annoying him?" flow through your mind. When this happens, this is your sign that you need to stop.

In that moment, you let him win. He has officially taken control of the relationship and he's the one who has you hooked. It's sad that dating in today's society has come down to a competition of who can care less... but that's the truth. It's always a matter of who can take longer to text back or who can seem less needy rather than two people who want to express their love for each other.

At what point is it okay for the girl to fight for the guy? Isn't winning the girl over a significant part of what chivalry is? The guy is supposed to fight for our attention, buy us flowers, try to prove himself to us. The sad realization I had was that I was fighting to keep the guy... I was the one trying to force a relationship on someone who clearly didn't appreciate me enough.

We are young and single, ladies. I know it sucks being this age in a world that tells us we should be taking candid laughing pictures and posting our dates on Instagram so we can have over a hundred likes and people will comment "relationship goals." We want other people to think we have the perfect relationship... but do you? Is it a relationship you're wanting or is it just the attention? To quote the wise words of J. Biebs, "Am I in love with you or am I in love with the feeling?"

Trust me, I struggle with this every. single. day. I bend God's ear talking about this. I pray so hard that I can just be satisfied with this season of singleness. There's so many advantages of being single that we never think about. This is our time to be spontaneous, go on road trips with girlfriends, go on dates with other genuine men that are actually interested in you, and want nothing more than just to have the pleasure of paying for your dinner.

Ladies. You are far better than the guy who isn't texting you back. You deserve so much more respect than the guy who ignores your calls. You deserve a man that will go to church with you on Sundays, drink a beer and eat pizza with you on Friday nights, that will love your future children, that will respect you and treat you like a queen.

So get off your phone, delete his number, don't live for the Instagram likes but live for the actual moments in life. Every memory is so precious and sweet. You'll never get these years back, so make the most of it and don't worry about the next guy, the last guy, or any guy really. Mr. Right will come along when God says you are both good and ready. Right now, you both just have a little bit more learning to do, and being patient enough will make for a stronger relationship that'll make you realize why no one else worked out.

"Trust me, she knew who she was dancing with the entire time. She just chose to see the good in everybody. I personally don't think she should change that about herself. It's possible her energy could bring out the best in the devil."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
