To The Children Growing Up Around Addiction

What children are around drug addiction and alcohol addiction? Drug addiction and Alcohol addiction is a huge problem around the U.S. and the children that have to suffer by being around the parents who do these terrible habits are sickening. Children who have to go through watching this sickening ordeal of addiction is a hard pill to swallow, but with everything in your power try to distinguish that from your way of thinking. Addiction is a problem for many people whether it is parents or your older brother, but it can be a bad addiction which threatens others in the family's lives. If a child is around a parent or parents who does drugs and drink alcohol those children are exposed to danger in ways that many cannot imagine. The children are exposed to emotional danger, physical danger, and mental danger. The emotional danger is the parents expressing their emotions while under the influence and physical danger through the child not reacting to the parent's actions, so the parents may be irritated and abuse their child.

Addiction is a scary thing. Children should see it as something that can happen in life depending on the age and try to make something positive out of it. Try to get some help for that parent if you can and have that confidence too. Also, try not to stay too much with your parent when they're under the influence or have an addiction, that can cause harm to you. The parent could cause self-harm to him or herself and towards you by your mindset changing. I do not want addiction to scar a child for life, therefore they should find it as a barrier that they may have to face through their parents or friends doing those actions. That also it will all be okay, it is a thing in life. Addiction can turn into something positive if you try to turn it into something that can be evaded and help others who are dealing with the same problem. I suggest you children, to group up together and for any of your friends are parents suffering from addiction to start an organization

Children who are around addictio do not fall victims to addiction and stay strong because things will get better. Everything happens for some reason whether people like it or not and that is what can make you as a child stronger or weaker, but it's up to you to change that. Addiction can be a scary thing and something that others may not be able to avoid, but it's up to that person to use that knowledge and environment to get through that.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
