To My Best Friend,
There are seven billion people in the world, but somehow I found you. In a world full of heartbreak, trauma, and sorrow, it's hard to believe in something as great and pure as soulmates, but when I'm with you, I can't help but believe I found mine in you.
There's no one else that I feel quite as secure with. Because through everything, you've been there. You've held my hand through the toughest days and laughed alongside me during my weirdest hours. I am the truest version of myself when I am with you. There's not a moment when I'm by your side where I don't feel 100 percent comfortable and content.
We've grown into ourselves together. We've used each other to help us get to the next steps in life, and without you, I would be a completely different person than I am today. Together, we've grown and matured into the women we are. There were a million different ways we could have turned out, but I'm grateful for who we have become. I owe every single accomplishment I've made to all the support and love you've given me throughout the years. Without your constant shoulder to cry on, hand to hold, and push to succeed, I probably wouldn't have made it to today. And although that seems disgustingly overdramatic, it's nothing but the truth.
We've made enough memories to last a lifetime together, and despite the years we have behind us, we're still just getting started. We've been there for so many "firsts" and "lasts." From every sleepover where we stayed up too late prank calling every single person in our phones, to the days where we just sit on the couch and pray that "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" is on, I am grateful. There's no one else and no other way I would want to spend my life.
I have so many "thank yous" to share with you; so many that a lifetime of being your BFFL is just never going to be enough. I need to thank you for entering my life. I need to thank you for sticking by me throughout everything we've both been through. I need to thank you for always believing in me and picking me up when I fall down. I need to thank you for all the times you've dealt out a dose of tough love, even though you know I'm too stubborn to listen. I need to thank you for loving me despite my numerous flaws. I need to thank you for always insisting I'm strong, even when I'm falling apart. I need to thank you for not letting any amount of distance get in the way of our epic friendship. And I need to thank you for agreeing that our love for each other is greater than any romance will ever be.
This thing we've got going on is for life, and if nothing else makes me excited to wake up every morning, that does. I'm forever counting down the days until the next time I see you because in your presence is when I'm the happiest. And although I can't wait to see you, I love that we are able to live our own lives, watching each other succeed from a distance, with every ounce of support that we would give if we were right beside each other. No matter what friends we make, boyfriends we have, schools we attend, jobs we get, or anything in between, we're still the same two best friends who have been wreaking havoc on the world since middle school. There has never been a moment I haven't loved you with all my heart, and it's going to stay that way.
