In a very close race for presidential candidates, Donald Trump, more famous for his outspoken character rather than his actual intelligence, is doing quite well. And frankly, this is terrifying. The United States is at a turning point and this election is extremely important, so please vote! And please, for the love of God, don't vote for Donald Trump.

We can't let a T.V. personality run our country, and here are three reasons why.

1. He is racist.

The United States is known for freedom and human rights, yet Trump has made some extremely offensive comments in multiple speeches. America has made many lives so much better by allowing immigrants into the country and providing them with work and food. Many people see the U.S. as a shining star where they can finally find security and hospitality for the future of their families. Imagine how heartbroken those people must be to see the United States, a country that they so long to be a part of, flat out reject them. Not to mention, as an outsider to a conversation, do you respect someone who makes racist comments? No. So how can we be respected as a country if our leader, a representative of all of us, makes such remarks?

We can't.

2. He is a television personality, not a politician.

Yes, he does have knowledge of business. In fact, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics, which is impressive because personally, I hated Econ. But I bet you didn't even know that because when you think of Donald Trump, do you think of a businessman? No! You think fake-tanned, toupee-wearing, attention-seeking senior citizen.

I'm sorry, but it had to be said.

This is important because this isn't only how we see Mr. Trump; it's how others perceive him too. Which brings me to my last point:

3. If Trump is elected, we will be the laughingstock of the world.

Recently in my marketing class in Florence, Italy, we discussed politics. Clearly we were getting off topic, but it was interesting to hear how other countries are viewing our election. The results? Not looking so good. Our professor informed us that the Italian people not only make fun of Trump for his outlandish statements but also for his romantic decisions. She also said that nobody is familiar with his background in business but instead that the tabloids read something along the lines of "silly celebrity running for U.S. president."

And this isn't just happening in Italy.

When we visited France and Hungary, we tried to keep it a secret that we were American. Why? Well when someone finds out you are American, they laugh and say "Oh, American. Donald Trump for President!" They blatantly make fun of you. It was the same in Amsterdam and Belgium. Tabloids line the streets with titles poking fun at the American people and their choice to be lead by a T.V. personality. And did you hear about the Canadian island offering refuge to the American people if Trump is elected? The United States is already becoming a joke.

We used to be proud to be American. Now it's something to be embarrassed about.

Get serious, people. Don't be fooled by this publicity stunt. We need a real leader with real strategies and a real background in politics. We need someone is for the people, not for himself. We need a president who can make our country and its people wealthy, not just himself.

Really, we just need a president who isn't Donald Trump.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
