We all wish we could run for five miles and actually enjoy it, right? Us runners are a rare kind in this day in age, and running has us thinking about a lot of crazy things. Here are some things we runners think about on our journeys during a run
1. Alright, slow and even pace. I don't want to waste all my energy.
2. Wow, this sucks.
3. Oh, that guy is cute. Act like you aren’t already tired.
4. He looks like someone I used to talk to.
5. Man, whatever happened to us?
6. I’ll run faster and better now that I’m mad at him.
7. How long have I be running? Like 15 minutes?
8. Five minutes?
9. Well, I’m running for 30 minutes and I’ve already done five, so that leaves me with 25 more minutes and that’s only five more five minute increments.
10. Is my pace too slow?
11. I shouldn’t have had those cookies.
12. Mmm, cookies.
13. No! Salads, vegetables and fruits.
14. I have short legs and everyone who’s passing me can see that.
15. I could use a nice glass of water...or 12.
16. This is a great song to run to!
17. I can’t wait until I see my transformation from all this.
18. Oh crap, I have a math test tomorrow.
19. What have we even been talking about in class?
20. Note To Self: Study math for three hours when I’m done.
21. I can’t breathe. Nope, not at all.
22. I have to stop.
23. No, I can’t. Only 10 more minutes.
24. Just make it to that driveway.
25. No, I can make it to the next four driveways.
26. Okay, I’ll walk for 10 seconds and then start again.
27. No, 20 seconds.
28. Alright, I’ll sprint until the end.
29. I made it!
30. I bet I lost about 10 pounds.
31. Oh yeah, water.
32. I am sweating like a dog.
33. This shower is going to be glorious.
34. I could definitely do this tomorrow!
