As women, we are regulars at our local nail salons. Even though each place has its own style, these are some of the thoughts we all have while we get spoiled for a minimum of an hour.
1. Why are you rushing me? I literally just walked in. Give me a minute to paint every single nail to see which color I like best.
2. Oh my gosh, I forgot to shave my legs. I am so sorry.
3. Can I just enjoy my pedicure? Please stop asking me questions that I don't know how to answer.
4. Mentally preparing yourself for when they remove the dead skin off your feet.
5. I can't help but think you are talking about me in front of my face. Sorry that English is the only language I understand.
6. But even if you're not talking about me, don't make it look like you are!
7. Why are you telling me my nail is broken? That's why I'm here.
8. I want my nails shaped square, but I know you're going to do what you want anyways.
9. As they're filing your nails and asking if you want anything else done today: No, sorry I told you that when I made my appointment and walked in the door.
10. Okay, they're about to do the first coat, but you have to pay beforehand. No tip on credit cards so I guess I should get it ready for later when I have to end up smudging my nails.
11. The first nail gets painted, but now that you have seen the color out of the bottle, you wish you had picked a different one.
12. Okay, the second coat is done and everything is better now. Guess you have to stick with it now.
13. Sitting at the drier feels like forever. But this massage takes away at least five seconds of how slow time is passing. Can I just leave already?
14. Your nails are finally dry, but you have to search the salon to find the lady that did your nails to give her a tip.
15. Finally, the best part: When every lady sings “goodbye" to you and you feel very important when making a dramatic exit.
Even through all of these struggles, nothing feels better than a fresh mani-pedi. Am I right?
