My Thoughts On The College Football Playoff

When the College Playoff was announced I was super excited. Being an Oregon fan and seeing them just miss the National Title game in 2013, this meant more teams get a chance and gives more fans hope. My Oregon Ducks got to be a part of the first playoff and lost to Ohio State in the National Title, after Ohio State was the last team in and the four seed.

I would say that I do like the playoff system more than the BCS but there are still not enough teams in the playoff. This year for example there were six or seven teams that had a legit case to be in the playoff. This year would have been perfect for a six team playoff. Michigan, Penn State and Oklahoma all could have grabbed the fifth or sixth spot in a six team playoff.

This was the worst year for the playoff committee because of the Big-10. They let in Ohio State who lost to the Big-10 champion Penn State but Penn State had one more lost. Michigan beat both the teams in the Big-10 championship but also had two losses. The committee had tough calls and there is no way to say they are wrong but maybe the system is wrong?

The two semifinal games were not close with Alabama beating Washington by 17 and Clemson dominating Ohio State 31-0.

Maybe because Oregon was irrelevant this season but this year has been the least college football I have watched in a long time. I hope that the playoff expands in years to come to add more excrement to the college football game again.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
