Well, I mean, it is a little bit.

But we won't dwell on that. He's our president and there is truly very little we can do about that unfortunate fact right now. What we can do is make sure that we don't encourage environments that harbor hate and anger. We can make sure that those that were happy with a president that evokes feelings of superiority and hate know that they won't knock us down. That these are our bodies and our families and our rights that they're tampering with and that we won't sit idly by and allow them to walk over us.

They have tried to bury us, to silence our voices and push us into the soil so we may not see the light. They tried to bury us, but they don't know that we are seeds. We will grow out of this muck and filth and we will stand strong in our roots and our love and our overwhelming, beautiful sunlight. This isn't about Trump anymore. It's about not letting him have the satisfaction.

This is about being a shining light for the children beneath us. The ones that need to have someone to look up to and State forbid (I would say God forbid, but it's obvious they're one in the same now) those younger than us will learn to detest the world they live in and the people they are surrounded with. We won't allow our youth to grow up thinking that the world they are about to inherit is one that only knows how to hurt the ones that helped create it.

This is about making sure that we unite in one of the most divided times I've ever experienced and will probably ever experience. This is about allowing the groups that formally didn't know how to interact, connect. We're fighting the same evil, we're protecting the same values. This is about unity in division, about light in darkness.

It's okay to not want to feel the hatred, it's okay to be upset and hurt that a country that was, for a second, coming so close to greatness and working so hard towards acceptance, It's not okay to give up. This isn't about Trump, but he does know what he's doing. Allowing him to divide us is only going to demolish the little bit of unity we still have. This isn't about Trump, but he wants it to be. They want it to be. This is about us, the people. Keep it that way.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
