"13 Reasons Why," one of the Netflix TV Shows that got everybody all hot and bothered, did become one of the most popular TV shows. But not because of the content. But because of the issue it brings up. In fact, a lot of viewers believe that the show wrongfully depicted Hannah Baker's downfall. Instead of her death signifying a result to be brought up, her death is more glorified by the use of 13 cassette tapes in which it is passed around to people who contributed to her death. (SPOILER ALERT) But nobody really sees the seven reasons in which the show does NOT encourage suicide.

1. The life that Hannah Baker had forced her to commit suicide.

Throughout the season, Hannah was facing a lot of social problems from classmates including people she thought were her friends. She didn't want to do it, but she saw it as the only solution. Nobody wants to really leave the earth, some people are just pushed and see themselves dangling off the cliff.

2. A lot of people loved Hannah Baker yet she just didn't see it.

One of them including Clay. Poor Clay. He loved her. And now after her death, all he does is work hard to make people remember Hannah, although people just love to brush her memory away. Life is hard, and sometimes love has always been there, you were just looking the other way.

3. Several posters aligned the hallways discouraging suicide.

After Hannah Baker's death, the school along with some of her classmates decorated the hallways with signs discouraging the suicide. Although sometimes these posters don't discourage it completely, it's a start.

4. There were a lot of kids on the show having bad pasts.

Clay, Tyler, Alex, Justin, Bryce, Jessica, and a few others were known for their bad pasts. The show depicted them being born in a bad setting, but they haven't taken their lives. If the show encouraged suicide, they would have used Hannah's example to take their own life.

5. Hannah's parents were loving and supportive and worked the best they can to support her future.

Her parents had business problems with Wall-Plex but yet they worked the hardest they can to make her daughter the happiest she can be. They bought her a car for the dance and made sure she can be smiling although her days weren't always the best.

6. The show depicts a dark reality which students are forced to make decisions they don't want to do.

There were times in which the students were stuck in compromising situations. They couldn't see Hannah's problems, they only saw things from their perspective, never from hers. If they were to go back in time and deny it, they would.

7. Tony's job was to spread awareness of her suicide and hopefully prevent future suicides.

Hannah's last wish was to pass along the 13 cassette tapes to Tony and allow him to pass it on to each of the people she dedicated the tapes to. She believed it was their right to know.

The show shares a global message some people cannot see. Using the cassette tapes, Hannah intentionally wanted people to recognize the mistakes they made that eventually caused her downfall. If people acknowledged her challenges and brought her the support and friendship she needed, she would still be alive, just like those in similar situations.
