Most of us have siblings closer to our age or we may have a twin or sometimes spread out a bit or we don’t have siblings at all.
Here are 5 reasons why having an identical twin sister is the greatest thing ever:
- You share a birthday. Birthday’s are fun and exciting when they come around but after awhile they get old (and odds are so are you) but when you have someone sharing it with you, they get excited about what to get you or how to celebrate it, and that brings back why birthday’s were so fun in the first place and sharing is all you ever do with a twin so you don’t mind anyways.
- She’s your maid of honor when the time comes. Growing up you dream about your wedding and who your maid of honor will be but having a twin sister it’s a given and no one can replace that because you’ve literally spent your entire life with them so really there is no one who could know you better to help celebrate your big day with.
- We all know heartbreak is difficult. Whether or not the heartbreak is an ex, a loss of someone close, or maybe even a loss of an animal. If it’s from heartbreak, odds are she already told you she didn’t like him and he was a bad idea from the start but she won’t ever tell you that she was right because sometimes you have to learn things on your own. Although she was right she will still be your shoulder to cry on and won't turn down a night of watching movies and eating ice cream with you. If it’s a loss of something/someone close, you’re probably experiencing the same pain and I couldn’t think of someone better to have in the hard times.
- When you do get her approval. She’s always the one you can count on to be completely honest with you. If you pick out a pair of sunglasses that look cute but look horrible on she never fails to tell you how they truly look and won't judge you for your bad taste. Or maybe it’s her approval on a guy. What better way to know a guy has your best interest in mind than when your twin approves. She knows you better than anyone and she knows your true worth and if she approves whom you’re dating than he must be a winner.
- She’s your biggest fan. Sure our parents, significant other, friends, family and maybe even other siblings cheer you on but she’s been on the same team as you literally since day one. And in my experience she cheers you on when she’s standing right there next to you from the first day of kindergarten to the first day of college. Or when you start a new job or get an A on a test you worked super hard to study for and can’t wait to tell someone and odds are she’s the first person you told and you know your parents, significant other, friends, other family etc. aren't mad because they know the bond you have is unbreakable and it wouldn't be right any other way.
