The Stages Of Spring Break

What are the stages that we all go through leading up to one of the best weeks of our lives?

The Stages Of Spring Break

As spring break comes and goes, we all go through these 9 stages:

1. Motivated

Girls and guys are all motivated the month leading up to spring break to get their "spring break bod." Whether that means hitting the gym or trying to eat healthy, motivation to look good in a bathing suit will make you do crazy things, and you are focused to achieve your goal.

2. Hangry

The motivation you find yourself with a month before spring break can lead you to try things like juice cleanses. Let’s be honest, ideas like this one just make you want food even more than you did before.

3. Anxious

The weeks leading up to spring break are filled with tests, papers and projects, but your mind has already checked out. Just try not to let this anxiety overcome you.

4. Excited

The week that you’ve been thinking about for months is finally here. Go celebrate making it out alive from all of your tests, papers and projects leading up to this week.

5. Confident

After working out like crazy and dieting in order to feel your best, when you add alcohol to the mix, your confidence goes through the roof. This can cause you to do things you normally wouldn’t. After all, once you get alcohol in your system, it can make you do some crazy and potentially embarrassing things.

6. Wounded

From being sun-burnt head to toe, to waking up with random bruises and scratches all over you from the night before, the consequences of enjoying your spring break are beginning to unravel.

7. Hopeful

After feeling like you couldn’t do spring break any longer, your second wind hits, and you begin to gain your confidence back… Lord help us all.

8. Drained

The end of spring break has you feelin’ some type of way. At the end of the week your body and mind begins to tell you that you just don’t have anything left in you, and that it’s time to go home.

9. Reminiscent

After the week is said and done, all you can do is look back on the good and bad times of it, and allow your body and your wallet to prepare for next year’s spring break. Plan accordingly, because you only have 365 days to go until it’s back.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
