We can all agree that failure is a crucial part of success. Just think of the adversity Oprah, Steven Spielberg, Michael Phelps and Thomas Edison (who failed 1,000 times) faced before reaching major success and becoming household names. Each of these people, and probably most successful human beings, would tell you that before their hard work paid off, there were plenty of challenges and obstacles they overcame which taught them lessons pivotal to their success. But how do some people endure failure after failure resulting in massive success, while when others experience a failure, it seems to direct their whole life, resulting in disappointment and regret? The difference is their mindset.
Yes, a successful person often experiences many failures before achieving their goals, but what sets them apart from other people is that they do not view their failures as bad things, road blocks, or signs they should give up; successful people see failure as an opportunity to improve, and they know the only real failure is to not try. I love the quote, "A winner is just a loser who tried one more time," and it perfectly exemplifies the power of trying. With each noteworthy achievement comes a hundred failures. Success is realizing that failure is only another word for "opportunity" and "a chance to try again." Why would anyone give up if victory could just be trying one more time? They wouldn't. However, many people stop trying after experiencing failure because they view it as the end of their whole journey instead of the end of a chapter. The temptation to quit can be overwhelming because, quite frankly, failing time after time is exhausting. But the only thing more exhausting is giving up and spending the rest of your life disappointed in your effort and wondering what could have been.
The secret to never failing is not to never take risks or challenge yourself, or always stay in your comfort zone. Instead the secret is to make millions of mistakes and fail miserably time after time and yet never lose your enthusiasm, motivation, or dedication. The secret to never failing is to never be afraid to fail, which leads to never being afraid to try. That is the key to success. When a person tries relentlessly and works hard, she/he is destined to succeed, and there is no stopping her/him. So stop being afraid to try, because not trying is the only possible way to fail. Instead, try everything. Make mistakes. Take chances. Believe in and bet on yourself. You will never fail as long as you try because "the master has failed more times then the beginner has even attempted." So keep trying and keep living, you have all the keys to success you need so put them into action and, whatever you do, do not give up your dream.
