The open door to me is new opportunities. As soon as you step into it, you grow even more as a person. However, we can't bring everyone into this new part of our lives. When we grow, we don't take the negative people with us who weigh us down. If someone doesn't want to be in your life or vice-versa, it is OK to keep moving forward. Sometimes, we delay this process of growth and keep trying to give chances to someone who does not deserve them. Keep going. Our path is our own, not a joint mission. Yes, people will walk with us through many parts, however, they aren't heading where we are destined to go. When we delay these processes we find ourselves in a rut and rather negative time in our lives.
We all experience struggle and downward spirals. However, with what I believe is the open door we can get through these ruts and even avoid them to keep going and get rid of negative impacts on us. As someone who constantly was giving second chances to someone who clearly didn't deserve them, I found myself on a very scary part of my path heading into the dark. I believe as soon as I stopped trying to keep this person with me through what I thought was growth and change; I was able to step through an open door and go in the right direction. I fully believe I am in the right place right now in my life. For some time now, a few months everything just feels right.
I believe this applies to all -- whether it be a family relationship, a friendship or a significant other. People constantly run back to comfort and what they are used too. If we can overcome the fear of leaving the comfort zone, bettering ourselves and entering that door to the right direction by leaving the negative impacts behind us anyone can be in the right direction.
Once that fear is conquered and the comfort zone is left, growth happens. Change happens. Anyone can have a healthier life after stepping through the door and leaving the negativity behind us. It is OK to leave people if they aren't bettering you. If they aren't helping you grow into a good person than they don't deserve a spot in your life. Keep moving forward. Isolation is scary and being alone when the comfort zone is left. However, new, better and healthier people are found and growth can unfold.
