I remember my high school graduation like it was yesterday. It was June 20, 2008, and my classmates and I gathered in the lunch room with our note cards with the pronunciation of our first and last names. I remember saying “I can’t wait for this day to be over.” I was sooo ready to start my adult life (so I thought). It was a huge mistake to not soak in the moment!
As I prepared for my little sister's graduation, I realized how much I would like the turn back the hands of time. High school was fun! Not to say that this adult life isn’t, but it’s not as fun as high school. I told my sister two weeks before graduation that this is where the real life begins. She listened.
Her graduation went by so fast and so did mine. So as I sit back and reflect, I now cherish the moments that are most important to me. Life flies by so fast we have to remember to enjoy every single second.
