Lee Brice said it best I am "hard to love, hard to love." I had often told myself that I never could be loved like I had envisioned love would feel like, or look like because I am way too independent. I have made it this far by myself, haven’t I? I was too caught up in the everyday life of me, and in this world today sometimes that is enough. I have the biggest heart, but sometimes the fear of rejection and the fear of love itself hold me back. I put up a wall that only a very select few have ever been able to get past, and to you I am forever grateful for. So this is for the girls that are single and rocking it because they do not need anybody else or for those girls in a relationship just trying to figure out how to let somebody else love you, because you have never done it before and I would imagine these are some barriers you are currently working through just like myself!

1. We want compliments. We usually have a hard time accepting them, and believing them. Simply because we have been lied to before.
2. We have come to know the true meaning of self-love. We love ourselves more than we think anybody else could possibly love us. We live in a society today filled with fidelity, competition, lying, and manipulating. Can you imagine why?
3. We were born competitive. We enjoy being right, and yes we can accept losing and being wrong but let's face it; it does not happen very often.
4. We live by our self. We do my own laundry, we do our own dishes and we clean our own bathrooms. We do not need your help we our capable of doing it ourselves. Remember though there is a difference between need and want!
5. We expect things of people, especially our significant others but we will rarely tell them. We just assume that you can read our minds, and that you know exactly what it is that we want.
6. We hid our emotions really well, so if I say I am ok you have a 50% chance of being right, good luck!
7. We have goals and dreams that seem a little far fetched, but watch us. Plus we are going to reach them whether we do it by ourselves or you are standing by our self. We do not need anybody else in order to reach our goals and dreams.
8. We have our own life. We expect that you have your own as well, we are not your mothers.
9. We work hard and a lot, we are always trying to better ourselves for our future. If we have time to spend with you, you should probably consider yourself lucky.
10. We will never sugar coat anything. If you make us mad, we will tell you. If we do not like the shirt you are wearing, we will tell you (politely of course), and if we are not in love with you anymore I will tell you. We value not only ourselves and our time, but yours as well.

When they are hard to love, love them harder! We all deserve to find love, and I am thankful that I finally found mine even if I am hard to love!
