When you are at a sporting event, the rush of the crowd or the emotions of the players really affect the experience of the game. On Thursday, December 7th, I attended the Atlanta Falcons versus New Orleans Saints game. The entire experience was unforgettable as I went with my brother (a Saints fan) and one of my best friends (Saints fan). They had been bragging all week about how the Falcons were destined to lose. However, they won, and this is a checkpoint in their up and down season. With this win, and depending on if the Seahawks or Panthers win or lose, could put us back in the playoff picture.
Now discussing the actual game itself, it wasn't pretty. Matt Ryan needs to think smarter as a quarterback when it comes to throwing the ball into tight coverage. Or the defense needs to find the holes in the offensive line and exploit those before our defense's weaknesses are shown. Our defense gave up to many yards sometimes but also came in clutch on the third downs or in the red zone against Drew Brees. The defense has to play like they did in the 4th quarter to take some of the pressure off the offense.
Now the Falcons have three games remaining, all division game. They start Tampa Bay, New Orleans and end with Carolina. The Falcons have to win these last game to stay in contention. Lets hope they can make a run like they did last year and RISE UP.
