I'll never forget waking up on a Saturday morning at around 9 a.m., dragging myself and my pillow out to my living room, and turning on "SpongeBob Squarepants." Honestly, since 2000, I've probably seen every episode twice. Seeing "SpongeBob" on the television the other day while flipping through the channels inspired me to write about the best (my favorite) cartoons from my childhood, the 2000s.
"SpongeBob Squarepants"
A quite obvious one, this show never failed to amuse me with its wit and stupidity. To be honest, I almost never understood what was going on in the show, but I always loved it. I think that's part of what makes me love it so much. The Karate Island specifically always put me in a trance. The new episodes may suck, but I will forever have a soft spot for SpongeBob.
"Jimmy Neutron."
I hope everyone can agree about Jimmy Neutron being one of the greatest shows of our childhood. With Jimmy's ice cream-esque hair, and Cindy's ever growing crush on him, the plotlessness in this show could take many turns, and the creators took full advantage.
"The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy."

"Catdog."

"Hey Arnold."
"Hey, football head!" Holga. Everyone in this show had an interesting head of hair. And, yes, that's why I loved the show.
"Ed Ed and Eddy."
This is easily the best of the Cartoon Network shows, in my opinion. With quotes like, "Yeah, my mom moved the stairs because I kept eating them," this show always made me ask, "Why in the world am I watching this?" To which I would respond to myself, "Because it's hilarious Bradley. Just keep those eyes on the screen."
"Rugrats."
Number one. Period. "Rugrats in Paris" is the best movie ever, period. Dill and Phil, Angelica, Chucky, Tommy, and the parents made for a legendary cast. I don't need to say anything else. This was the best cartoon, ever.
