Madison Prewett May Be On ‘The Bachelor’ But She Isn’t Wrong For Having Standards

For those who watch "The Bachelor," we just finished the fantasy suite week.

Oooooh, how exciting… not. I think the fantasy suite idea is one of their stupidest. It makes the girls feel special for one night then struggle the nights he's with other women. It's genius for the producers who keep the ratings high, but the torment it does to girls' emotions is not worth it. Let's not forget they have only known each other for six weeks and they're expected to sleep together.

I can't stand it, but I watched because Madison Prewett is a freaking queen and she knows herself and the standards she sets for herself and for her future husband.

While I'm sure many people are siding with Victoria F. saying that you know what you sign up for and it's not fair to give him an ultimatum. Well, first of all, Victoria F., I'm sorry you don't hold yourself to a higher standard, but Madison is allowed to choose what she wants in a man and if that means not sleeping with any other women regardless of fantasy suite week, I don't think she should be ashamed for that.

She told Peter before this whole week happened that she would leave if he slept with the other women. He didn't have to be intimate with the other women, but he was willing to risk losing Madison for a night or two with different women.

Peter had a choice and now he has to face the consequences. He could have walked away if he really cared and wanted Madison. But he didn't and honestly, I hope Madison leaves and leaves him behind. She deserves someone who is more of a man than Peter. She wants a man of faith, a spiritual leader, someone who will strive for purity with her and Peter said himself, that's not him.

That's fine, but Madison is the whole freaking package and there are men of God out there who will exceed her expectations.

A lesson to all you ladies out there, do not settle. You have your standards for a reason. There is a guy out there that will blow you away. Set your standards high and hold them there.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
