A few weeks ago, I did a summer bucket list article. It was a mix between food and insanely fun activities (so check that out if you'd like!). This week I've decided to make it all about one of my favorite things, amazing food. So, if you're in Atlanta this summer, you should definitely explore and try out some of these restaurants!
1. Tom and Chee.
Simple grilled cheese? Who needs that! These guys are redefining the meaning of "grilled cheese". They have many options of grilled cheese which include but are not limited to: grilled cheese with macaroni on the inside, a type of pizza grilled cheese, and a grilled cheese donut (blueberry blue, pictured above). They have three locations around Atlanta so don't miss this place!
2. Smokebelly BBQ.
This place has been on my to-eat list for way too long. Not only am I a huge barbecue lover, but check out their insanely adorable building! This is one you'll want to remember! Don't worry if you can't find a friend to go, I'll be your date!
3. Callie's Hot Little Biscuit.
Am I Southern girl? Yes. Was I raised on homemade biscuits? Yes. Am I dying to try this place out because of all the killer reviews? Yes! So this place has only been open a few short months in Atlanta but has been as instant hit!
4. Lottafrutta.
The main location for this adorable fruit stop has been in the Atlanta airport, but most recently they opened a location in Alpharetta, Ga. If you are looking for a yummy, but healthier snack, this is your place! They are mostly known for their delicious fruit cups, but they also have a selection of fruit juices and food.
5. Kale Me Crazy.
Cutest name for a smoothie shop ever? Quite possibly. Another amazing restaurant typically known for being a healthier option but also has phenomenal meals. They offer many vegan options so if you're in Atlanta and looking for that, here's your place! They also have three locations ,and one of them is near Little Five Points!
6. Chick-a-Biddy.
If you hadn't already guessed by the name, this restaurant's main focus is -- chicken! They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner; so it's hard to miss out. The menu features chicken and waffles, buffalo wings, grilled or fried chicken. And you can't tell me that picture doesn't make you want to get in the car and drive until you see the sign!
7. Ammazza.
Looking for a great pizza place? Ammazza is one of the most talked about pizza places in Atlanta alongside Antico's (also great). However, I picked Ammazza because of the atmosphere. It has a great look on the outside, an industrial look inside, and a cannot go wrong list of pizzas to choose from.
8. Illegal Food.
With a name like that and a motto that states, "Yeah, it's that good." This place definitely stands out in the crowd. However, it has a lot more than those two aspects leading it. The reviews state that the food here is absolutely incredible. They serve brunch on the weekends and dinner the rest of the time. However, if you're going for dinner, know that you are most likely going to eat a burger but you will not be disappointed.
9. Revival.
This place is a twist on Southern cuisine! What's better, right? They serve brunch, lunch, and dinner! This place is definitely meant for special occasions based off their price range but the food is quality. And it's set in an adorable white house that helps the restaurant give off a homey feel. With a restaurant like this, you're paying for the whole experience!
10. Revolution Donuts.
I'm a sweets lover so I had to end the list with an adorable donut spot! They are handmade, all natural, and the staff will accommodate people based on their allergies or diet preferences. Not to mention they are an adorable cafe where you could spend your day eating donuts, drinking coffee, and studying (free wifi) if you want!
That's my list of 10 places that I believe we all should try out this summer even if you've been there before! I hope you all enjoy this and oh don't forget to do your workout of the day if you get caught up in this list like me!
