Summer is approaching rather quickly and for some of us, it is already here! In the spirit of summer, I thought it would be fun to do two lists of five places in and around Atlanta that we should all try out this summer! Disclaimer: I have not been to all of these places. If you do decide to visit one of these places, please let me know! I would love to hear how you're experience was. Now, let's get started!
In Atlanta
1. Turner Field.
With it being the last season that the Braves will be in Atlanta, what better way to kick off your summer than by heading out to see them play one last time (or a couple of last times). And since I believe everyone knows how to get there, I am going to attach the regular season schedule instead of the address.

2. Sprinkles ATM.
So let me start with this one by saying, the store is great. But I specifically put the ATM part because who doesn't want to get a cupcake out of an ATM? Quite possibly the coolest idea ever. Address: 3393 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, GA 30326
3. SkyView Atlanta.
This is seriously one of the shortest, but best date night activities. If you're having dinner and a ride on the wheel right when the sun's going down, then you're probably having the best date ever. But seriously, if you haven't been, you need to go. And if you have, go do it again. The view is worth every penny. Address: 168 Luckie St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.
4. Vintage Frozen Custard.
Now, this is one of those places that I haven't been to but have dreamed about going to many times. They are also available in a food truck, so keep your eye out for them on the street. Address: 1021 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.
5. Little Five Points.
This place is filled with record stores, restaurants, clothing stores, and many more exciting shops. It is definitely a place to be checked out. Address: 1143 Euclid Ave NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30307.
Outside of Atlanta
1. Brasstown Bald.
The Bald is the highest natural point in Georgia and it gives a spectacular view of the Appalachian Mountains. If you love a good lookout and you're in the area or in need of a day trip, you should go check it out.
Address: GA-180 Spur, Hiawassee, GA 3054.
2. Two Brothers Barbecue.
I consider this side of the road BBQ restaurant to be one of ball ground's (if not Georgia's) hidden treasures. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the place is decorated with memories from the past. Oh, and if you go, get some ice-cream before you leave.
Address: 1695 Old Canton Rd, Ball Ground, GA 30107.
3. Jaemor Farms.
What could be better than fresh produce, honey, a bakery, and friendly folks? And if you wait until corn maze season, this is an awesome place to take the kids. It's settled beautifully on the side of the road in Alto, and is a market that you don't want to miss! Address: 5340 Cornelia Hwy, Alto, GA 30510.
4. Water Parks.
We have so many amazing waterparks that can serve as a great week day or weekend trip this summer! Keep close to home with Lanier World or stay in your own cabana at Wild Adventures in Valdosta. So get the sun screen, some towels, the car, and find your own adventure. Address to Lanier: 7000 Lanier Islands Pkwy, Buford, GA 30518. Address to Wild Adventures: 3766 Old Clyattville Rd, Valdosta, GA 31601.
5. Historic Banning Mills.
Four words: world's longest zip line. If you have a thrill for adventure, you should definitely put banning mills on your summer bucket list. Along with the zip line, there's a rock wall, power fall, treehouse lodging and so much more. Address: 205 Horseshoe Dam Rd, Whitesburg, GA 30185.
That's all I have for you, today, readers! But I hope you will at least test out one of the places on the list this summer. Either way, I hope you all have a great summer that is filled with adventure!
