Whether you love them or you hate them, the Alt-Right is arguably one of the fastest growing branches out of any political party today. It consists mostly of gamers, Libertarians, Republicans, and, from their view, people who have common sense.
Is this movement something to be scared of? No.
Should we keep an eye on this movement? Yes.
To test out the alternate right yourself, just simply get a 4chan account, or go to r/The_Donald on Reddit.
As I have said in my last article, they are the heartbeat of the internet. However, they have weaponized Pepe, they have made Harambe a martyr, and they have made so much success that Clinton's speech in Reno was based ONLY on the Alt Right. Coupling that with r/The_Donald getting more views than CNN on the daily, there is a clear trend towards the right.
But how far will it go? That's dependent on a few factors that can only be played out until after November.
Recently, BBC published an article talking about the Alt-Right and how it's the 'shock troops' of Donald Trump. I agree. The Alt-Right are the ones that are doing A LOT of the heavy lifting that mainstream right-wingers would NEVER do until its too late.
Ever since Nigel Farage and UKIP made Brexit happen, the political pendulum has been swinging back towards the right... which begs the question: If either candidates win, will there be a civil war?
Personally, I don't think so, only because of a couple of reasons. The majority of the population that have guns are mostly conservatives and Republicans, and that's including the members of the military. What's more, one of the ethics of a liberal is restricting guns, so that someone cannot have the mere temptation to kill someone. Lastly, the military already has plans on how to handle a civil war if it ever did occur, ever since 2008.
Is the Alt-Right justified in all of its doings? In a right-winger's eyes, probably yes. In a left-winger's eyes, probably not. However, that is totally dependent on the person. That is totally dependent on YOUR interpretation.
However, they are called the 'Alt-Right' for reason, and not 'Nazis.' For one thing, there's no unifying leader, they just get their inspiration from people like Donald Trump, idolizing him as the 'God-Emperor' or as 'Daddy.' For another thing, even if the Alt-Right gets the Whitehouse and the majority of Congressional seats, they'll still have to get through a now-turning liberal supreme court, so, violating human rights is far out of the question, especially with UN headquarters being on American soil.
If the Alt-Right ever did radicalize in the future, it would be disastrous. There are already 'V-Nazis' (Vine Nazis) on Vine that post Nazi content, which I personally find as scary. I like the way the Alt-Right is right now, but give it 10 years, and I just might become a mainstream Conservative.
Currently, they are fighting against the social justice warriors. They are going against cultural appropriation, political correctness and anything else that the social justice warriors are fighting for.
To me, it's all a long and drawn-out fanfare. But if you were to ask me, no one is winning. Why? Because bipartisanship is dead on both sides. That is evident throughout the media when you consider that only the liberal media is covering and reporting things that are mostly pro-Democrat and against Donald Trump, while smaller news outlets and a few other sociologists believe that American journalism is dead.
Can it be revitalized? Not by a long shot.
If Donald Trump wins this November, there's no doubt that people will move to Canada (no kidding). He will have a shake down of the media. But if the majority of the courts are liberal, then it'll become harder to break up the media with its political patron.
However, the media does need to be careful as to what they publish. Gawker, for example, wouldn't take down its post of a sex tape of Hulk Hogan, which led to a $140 million lawsuit won by Hogan, and Gawker going bankrupt.
However, if Trump wins the White House, puts a Conservative in the empty supreme court seat to keep a Conservative majority Supreme Court, and if the Republicans can retain the majority in both houses of Congress, we may see a downfall in the Democrat party with all of the scandals, affairs, and corruption that has been occurring in recent history.
Nonetheless, in my next piece, I will be talking about the rising stars of the Alt-Right; ranging from Lauren Southern to Milo Yiannopoulos.
