The last two weeks of the semester are definitely the most stressful weeks due to final projects, papers and trying to learn an entire semester in one week (or night). Throughout these weeks, we try to keep our eyes on the prize, going home for winter break.
After the copious amounts of caffeine, multiple all-nighters, daily mental break downs, living life in the library and threatening to drop out of college at least once, going home sounds like the best thing that could ever happen. This is until you finish your last final, and realize that you have not packed a single thing, and you still have to travel all the way home.
At this point, you are back at square one and now have a new prize to keep your eyes on, pulling into your driveway at home and sprinting to your bed to sleep for at least 12 hours.
If you live more than four hours away from home, you understand the struggle of traveling home for break.
1. You mentally prepare yourself for the journey and assure yourself that you will make it home in record time because there won't be any delays. You are only going to make emergency stops!

2. You start getting antsy and turn on some throwback jams that you can belt out to pass the time.

3. You check the time because you feel like you have been driving for five days straight, but it is actually only been 45 minutes.

4. You start to get hungry, but don't want to stop until you run out of gas so you smile through the pain.

5. An old song comes on and brings back memories that you would like to forget.

6. You finally stop to get gas and your legs forget how to walk because they are asleep.

11. You step out of the car and realize you have at least two trips worth of bags to bring into the house and decide you'll save it for another day.
