A Thank You Note To My Boyfriend

Dear Boyfriend,

When we first met, I hadn't been looking for you. I had moved on from this idea of dating and was not looking for someone. Yet somehow you found me, and we started talking. We learned that we have some commonalities and in some ways we couldn't be more different. We bonded over our love for food and similar morals and values. We went ice skating and bowling, which some of us were better at than others (thanks for not letting me fall on my face when we went ice skating). We've had good times and some interesting times. From that first day playing badminton to movie dates to our Chicago visits, you found me and I'm truly happy you did.

1. Thank you for putting a smile on my face.

You always have this way of making me smile and laugh, thank you for that.

2. Thank you for listening.

Thank you for not only listening to my stories, but remembering what I say. Not only do you listen, but thank you for caring what I have to say (even though you may not always agree with my opinions, thanks for hearing me out).

3. Thank you for the little things.

From opening the door for me to having a hot chocolate waiting for me at Starbucks, there are so many things you do for me in just small gestures that mean the world to me.

4. Thank you for accepting me for me.

You know me for me and have accepted both the good and the bad. From my head to my toes, thank you for liking me for me.

5. Thank you for being open and honest.

I appreciate your openness and honesty, I can't even begin to describe what it means that you trust me.

6. Thank you for being funny and serious.

I love that you can go from goofing around to being able to have a serious down-to-earth conversation.

7. Thank you for being my friend.

Thank you for not just being my boyfriend, but for being my friend.

8. Thank you for your kindness.

I know you hate being called sweet, but you are. Thank you for being a nice gentleman and being one of the kindest people I know.

9. Thank you for always being you.

But most of all, thank you for being yourself around me.

Love,

Your Lucky Girlfriend

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
